We say that because we know that every conversation we have, every interface we design, and every new feature we ship is another opportunity for us to elevate everyday life experiences for our customers and the people and communities they serve.\nAs our Product Designer, you will be a designer and design ambassador across our product families, working in an AI-optimized software development lifecycle (AI SDLC) where product, engineering, QA and design build together, with AI part of how everyone works. On an AI-optimized team, designers spend less time on repetitive production work and more on problem framing, customer insight and quality. You will use AI across discovery, design, prototyping and build, and you stay accountable for the quality of what ships.\nYou will combine qualitative and quantitative data with your talent and instincts to turn customer insight into delightful product designs, using AI to explore faster and test sooner. A key focus of the role is maintaining our design system and the AI skills that support prototyping. We expect you to lead with judgment, taste and customer empathy, and to work in a way that reflects our company values.\nSome of the things you'll do:\nUnderstand customers and shape the problem\nSet design requirements based on input from internal teams and user research.\nCollect and interpret qualitative and quantitative feedback, and use AI tools to synthesize research, support themes and usage data at speed, while checking the output against the source.\nIdentify new product improvement opportunities, and analyze how a new product meets market needs and customer preferences.\n\nDesign and validate\nProduce UX/UI to support the product roadmap across our family of products.\nUse AI-assisted workflows to explore more options, build prototypes and cover edge cases and states earlier, then bring your own judgment to choose the best direction.\nPresent design ideas to Product Managers and Owners, Engineers, QA, other cross-functional teams, customers and prospects, and use their feedback to validate and refine designs.\nModify and revise existing designs as customer preferences change.\n\nBuild alongside engineering\nWork closely with Product Management, Engineers and QA to suggest improvements to products and processes.\nReview AI-assisted builds for design fidelity, accessibility and consistency, and give clear, specific feedback early.\nProvide support to Product Management and Engineers whenever it helps the team move faster.\n\nMaintain the design system and AI skills\nMaintain and evolve the design system and design library across our family of products, keeping components, tokens and guidelines organized, current and consistent.\nBuild and maintain the AI skills, prompts and templates that support prototyping, so the team can move from idea to working prototype quickly and stay true to the design system.\nDocument design principles, patterns, components and research so people and AI tools can both use them. A well-structured design system and knowledge base is what lets AI-assisted teams build consistently.\nShare reusable workflows and coach the wider team on using AI well for design tasks.\n\nDesign for AI-powered experiences\nDesign the experience of AI-powered product features, including how they set expectations, show their reasoning, let people stay in control, handle mistakes and build trust.\nFollow company policy on responsible AI use, including how customer and company data is handled in AI tools.\nStay up to date on industry trends, market conditions and new AI design tools and techniques, and recommend the ones worth adopting.\n\nWorking arrangements:\nFully Remote in United States: You can work remotely in this position, provided you reside in United States, have full working rights and do not require sponsorship.\nQualifications\nWhat would make me a good candidate?\nWe are looking for curious and empathetic people. We are inspired by meeting big-picture thinkers and doers, people who can be both tactical and strategic, aim high and put people first in everything they do.\nYou'll need:\nProven experience in all phases of the design process: user research, wireframing, prototyping, visual design, interaction design and usability testing.\nA well-rounded portfolio that shows a strong understanding of customer and business objectives.\nAn intuitive eye for customer needs beyond the obvious.\nExcellent attention to detail and organizational skills.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate and persuade around design concepts and to engage and influence a variety of audiences.\nAbility to collaborate with cross-functional team members, and to be autonomous and a team player when needed.\nAbility to manage multiple projects with varying deadlines and scopes of work.\nCreative, strong problem-solving skills, and a passion for design. You are never satisfied with the status quo and always looking for ways to improve and innovate.\nExperience with Figma or another collaborative interface design tool.\nBachelor’s degree in visual communications, graphic design or a related field, or relevant experience (4+ years).\n5+ years of relevant design experience, including UX/UI.\nAI fluency- Hands-on experience using generative AI tools in your design work, for example research synthesis, ideation, prototyping or content.\nAbility to write clear prompts, evaluate AI output critically and know when to trust it, edit it or discard it.\nUnderstanding of how AI-powered features behave, including variable output and the chance of errors, and how to design for that.\nCuriosity and a willingness to change how you work as AI tools and team practices evolve.\nIt would be great if you also have:\nExperience building or maintaining a multi-product design system, including components and design tokens.\nExperience designing B2B software, vertical SaaS or payments experiences.\nWorking knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG).\nExperience prototyping with AI-assisted or code-based tools\nAt Xplor, we believe that the best innovation and ideas happen at the intersections of our differences - people of diverse cultures, generations, disciplines, and lived experiences.
