The team is moving from Agile/Kanban toward an AI-Driven Development Lifecycle (AI-DLC), where AI assistants and agents are part of how we build and operate infrastructure.\nRole Overview \nThe Lead Engineer is the senior technical leader for Cloud Engineering in Santiago. This is a hands-on role: you will design and build AWS infrastructure and automation, mentor engineers, own delivery of major platform workstreams, and lead the team's adoption of AI-assisted and agentic engineering. Current work includes the AWS Managed Services (AMS) Advanced-to-Accelerate migration, Amazon EKS upgrades, multi-region landing zones and networking, and AI services built on Amazon Bedrock.\nRequired Qualifications \n7+ years in DevOps, cloud infrastructure or platform engineering, including 2+ years leading engineers or technical workstreams.\nDeep hands-on AWS experience: IAM, EC2, VPC, Transit Gateway, ALB/NLB, CloudFront, S3, RDS, ECS/Fargate, EKS, Lambda, Step Functions, Systems Manager and CloudWatch.\nExpert infrastructure as code with CloudFormation and/or Terraform; strong Docker and Kubernetes (EKS) experience.\nStrong Python and Bash scripting; CI/CD pipelines as code (Jenkins preferred) with Git, Jira and Confluence.\nPractical, daily use of AI-assisted engineering tools and a clear view of how AI agents can safely automate infrastructure and operations.\nExperience with configuration management (Puppet or similar), Linux, observability tools (Datadog or similar) and incident response.\nStrong grasp of cloud security in regulated environments; fluency in English and Spanish; degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.\nPreferred Qualifications \nAWS Professional certification (DevOps Engineer or Solutions Architect).\nHands-on experience with Amazon Bedrock, LLM APIs, agent frameworks, RAG or Model Context Protocol (MCP).\nExperience with AWS Control Tower, Organizations, IAM Identity Center or AWS Managed Services (AMS).\nExperience with PostgreSQL, MySQL or SQL Server on AWS, and with financial services or other regulated industries.\n\nCompetencies\nAction Oriented, Time Management, Customer Focus, Functional/Technical Skills, Learning on the Fly, Motivating Others, Problem Solving\n\nBusiness Unit: \nJonas Collections and Recovery - ChileScheduled Weekly Hours:\n40Number of Openings Available: \n1Worker Type: \nRegularMore About Jonas Software:\nJonas Software is a leading provider of enterprise management software solutions, serving a wide range of vertical markets including hospitality, healthcare, construction, education, personal care, fitness, leisure, moving and legal services, to name a few.
