Senior Financial Accountant (16 month contract)

This role requires at least one day per week in the Kilkenny HQ.
As Senior Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for:
Prepare and review monthly management accounts, including P&L, Balance sheet and cash flow
Perform variance analysis and provide insightful commentary for management and stakeholders
Present management accounts to senior finance management on a periodic basis
Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial data and compliance with accounting standards
Act as primary point of contact for external auditors ensuring timely and efficient audit delivery including preparation and delivery of financial statements
Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements.
Support on the annual budgeting process
Participate in process improvement initiatives and implementation of best practices to ensure the finance team is consistently pushing the boundaries in terms of efficiency and accuracy
Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, product and tech teams to align financial process with business growth
Participate in ad hoc global projects as required
Provide guidance, coaching and mentoring to junior team members
Oversee day to day activities of direct reports where applicable, ensuring tasks are delivered to a high standard.
Skills/Requirements
Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, CPA, ACA)
The ideal person will have 5 years PQE with Big 4 or Top 10 audit training. The company will also give strong consideration to Audit Managers/Senior Managers from Big 4 who have an appetite to build their career in industry.

Self-motivated with excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) - need to communicate to all levels within the business
Excellent planning and organisation skills, ability to multi-task, plan and prioritise work schedule and work within agreed timescales. Proven track record of interpreting large volumes of data
Excellent attention to detail and an ability to analyse and interrogate high volumes of data as well as demonstrating an ability to focus on higher level overview
Commercial awareness with ability to demonstrate a sound knowledge of wider business factors
Have strong financial and analytical acumen as well as excellent Project Management and communication skills
Experience with new systems implementations is also an advantage
