This practice is focused on the defense of a myriad of high exposure litigation across the nation, including trials, trial monitoring, and parachute trials.\nThis practice includes personal injury cases, bodily injury, civil litigation, property damage matters. The ideal candidate has litigation and trial experience, is proactive, motivated, and organized and possesses superior oral argument, research and writing skills. The Associate will interact with our clients, participate in and try cases, and monitor cases and trials.\nResponsibilities\nIn this role you will:\nManage a caseload of 25-30 matters;\nTake depositions, attending hearings, and mediations as required;\nDraft and submit pleadings, discovery, motions and briefs;\nMonitor trials, evaluate trial record for errors to be raised on appeal;\nConduct legal research using Westlaw/Lexis/Nexis;\nReview and analyze documents and materials for production;\nReview and analyze briefs and trial transcripts and develop arguments for appeals;\nEvaluate insurance policies and analyze claims for potential coverage issues;\nActively investigate claims and prepare case handling strategies;\nActively and effectively report to our insurance carrier clients and insureds;\nPrepare cases for trial/mediation and participate in trial/mediation\nEducation and Experience\nAdmission to the New York and PA bar\nLitigation experience\nExperience taking depositions\nExcellent academic credentials\nSkills and Ability\nExceptional legal writing and communication skills;\nStrong interpersonal skills:\nAbility to manage and prioritize multiple projects;\nAbility to identify and resolve problems quickly.\nThis role may require out of state travel for trial and trial monitoring.\nWhy Join Us?\nAt Clyde & Co, we believe in supporting your professional growth while ensuring you have the flexibility and benefits you need to thrive. The range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.
