The ideal candidate has litigation and trial experience, experience with various insurance policy forms, is proactive, motivated, creative and organized and possesses superior oral argument, research and writing skills.\nKey Responsibilities\nWillingness to deal with liability and coverage matters\nManage a caseload of about 20 matters\nActively investigate claims and prepare case handling strategies\nDraft, respond and manage discovery\nTake and defend depositions of parties, fact witnesses, treaters and experts\nDraft and argue motions\nPrepare cases for mediation/trial including drafting pre-trial documents\nParticipate in mediation/trial\nActively and effectively report to our clients\nManage and supervise associates and paralegals\nEssential Skills & Experience\nAdmission to the bar in Illinois\nExtensive oral argument skills\nExcellent creative strategy and strong legal writing skills\nStrong interpersonal skills\nAbility to manage and prioritize multiple projects\nAbility to identify and resolve problems quickly\nGerman speaking, and/or European experience is a plus. The position involves representation of international and domestic insurers with regards to all manner of liability policies, including fidelity, directors and officers, employment, professional, property, excess and commercial general liability policies.
