Location: Seattle or Remote

Clyde & Co US LLP seeks mid-level associates to join our rapidly growing insurance coverage practice in Washington. You will be part of the team that advises insurers on complex coverage issues in areas of emerging risk, including social media, AI, PFAS, privacy claims, and unfair competition and trade practices in online marketplaces. Our team also represents insurers in complex litigation involving commercial lines liability and excess policies.

This is an exciting opportunity to help clients navigate areas of emerging risk, and gain experience in complex commercial litigation involving global companies.

What you'll do:

  • Advise clients on coverage under commercial lines liability and excess insurance policies.
  • Conduct legal research, analyze statutes, case law, and other legal authorities, and draft memoranda and coverage opinions.
  • Prepare and analyze pleadings, discovery, and motions.
  • Attend depositions, hearings, and mediations.
  • Take a proactive role in managing matters, deadlines, and communication with clients.

We're looking for attorneys licensed and in good standing in Washington who:

  • Have experience in insurance coverage or complex commercial litigation. The ideal candidate will have experience in insurance coverage litigation involving commercial lines third-party coverages, but we will consider applicants with a strong commercial litigation background and demonstrated interest in insurance coverage.
  • Have excellent legal research, writing, and oral communication skills.
  • Have strong organizational and time-management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks appropriately to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Have effective problem-solving skills.
  • Have the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects.

This team offers flexible working arrangements, including the ability to work fully remote, for the right candidate.

Why Join Us?

At Clyde & Co, we believe in supporting your professional growth while ensuring you have the flexibility and benefits you need to thrive. Here’s what you can look forward to:
