Our efforts include heterogeneous compilation technology and SW-HW co-design, optimizing for AI, graphics, games, and mobile applications while tackling technological challenges through open-source community.\nAbout the job:\nDevelop technical insights through in-depth study of state of art literature and participating internal discussions.\n\nAttend academic or industry conference to get the latest information and insight report, like NeurIPS/ICLR/ICML/MLSys/CGO/MICRO/OSDI etc…\n\nAs a technical individual contributor, you are responsible for understanding and defining technology research frontiers and opportunities that will have significant impacts to the industry and Huawei’s business in mid-term and long-term.\n\nDevelop technology development charters to contribute to company’s technology competitiveness and readiness in the future.\n\nDevelop research directions and topics to advance state of art knowledge and insights on subject matters.\n\nThe total target annual compensation for this position ranges from $106,000 to $156,000 depending on education, experience, and demonstrated expertise.\nRequirements\nAbout the ideal candidate:\n5+ years of experience with software and AI strong technology curiosity.\n\nA Master’s or Ph.D. degree in computer science/engineering, or a related field.\n\nProficient in studying state-of-the-art research work and developing new ideas.\n\nBroad and deep knowledge of machine learning, foundational models, agentic AI, machine learning systems and software stack.\n\nDriven, a self-starter, passionate about technology and innovation.\n\nAdditional Information:\nHuawei Canada is committed to a fair, inclusive, and accessible recruitment process.
