We are a progressive and dynamic consultancy offering tailored project controls services across a range of industries.\nOur Purpose (Why we exist): Inspiring new ways to help shape our construction industry.\nOur Ambition (What we want to achieve): Re-imagine project controls through a digital lens, being the obvious choice for clients and the place to grow together with intention.\nWhat's in it for you?\nAt CMR you will have the opportunity to professionally develop like nowhere you have worked before.\n\nIf you demonstrate the capability, our merit-based system will enable you to develop fast.\n\nWe use our in-house capability matrix to transparently track your progression and highlight development areas.\n\nJoin our small, dynamic team where every member has the chance to make a significant impact, shaping the future direction of our company and making a real difference.\n\nWe believe in rewarding our team for their achievements, celebrating our successes but equally helping each other when things are tough.\n\nYou'll\nLead and oversee project controls activities, ensuring effective planning, governance, reporting and performance management across assigned projects or programmes.\n\nDevelop, implement and maintain project controls processes, procedures, standards and reporting requirements.\n\nLead cost management, planning, scheduling, forecasting, change control and earned value management activities.\n\nEstablish and maintain effective Earned Value Management System (EVMS) practices, ensuring accurate data, reporting and compliance.\n\nManage and coordinate project controls resources, providing leadership, setting priorities and overseeing workload and delivery.\n\nProduce and coordinate project controls reports, dashboards, forecasts and executive-level summaries to support informed decision-making.\n\nAnalyse cost, schedule, risk and performance data, identifying variances, emerging issues and opportunities for corrective action.\n\nSupport project leadership with governance reviews, performance monitoring, issue resolution and stakeholder management.\n\nEnsure project controls deliverables meet company standards, client requirements, audit expectations and governance processes.\n\nWork closely with project management, engineering, construction, procurement, finance and client teams to ensure effective integration across project disciplines.\n\nDrive continuous improvement across project controls systems, processes, reporting and data quality.\n\nAbout You\nEssential\n12+ years' experience in project controls, cost management, planning, scheduling, estimating or programme management.\n\nProven experience managing project controls across complex projects, programmes or portfolios.\n\nStrong experience developing and managing budgets, cash flows, schedules, forecasts, reporting and Estimate at Completion (EAC) reviews.\n\nAdvanced understanding of cost management, scheduling, forecasting, earned value management, change control and performance reporting.\n\nStrong knowledge and practical experience of EVMS processes, reporting and compliance requirements.\n\nAbility to interpret complex cost and schedule data, identify trends and provide actionable recommendations.\n\nExperience managing and coordinating project controls teams and multiple stakeholders.\n\nStrong communication, leadership, stakeholder engagement and presentation skills.\n\nHighly organised, analytical and detail-oriented, with the ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.\n\nDesirable\nExperience working within the nuclear, energy or wider infrastructure sectors.\n\nProficiency in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, SAP, Oracle, Excel, Power BI and other relevant project controls systems.\n\nExperience supporting project governance reviews, EVMS readiness assessments and audit activities.\n\nAt CMR we have a strong culture driven by our 9 Core Principles.
