You will help ensure that risks are understood, appropriately mitigated and effectively communicated to project stakeholders.\nAbout us\nCMR is first and foremost a team of people, passionate about the construction industry and changing the way project controls is provided.\nWe are a progressive and dynamic consultancy offering tailored project controls services across a range of industries.\nOur Purpose (Why we exist): Inspiring new ways to help shape our construction industry.\nOur Ambition (What we want to achieve): Re-imagine project controls through a digital lens, being the obvious choice for clients and the place to grow together with intention.\nWhat’s in it for you?\nAt CMR you will have the opportunity to professionally develop like nowhere you have worked before.\n\nIf you demonstrate the capability, our merit-based system will enable you to develop quickly.\n\nWe use our in-house capability matrix to transparently track your progression and highlight development areas.\n\nJoin our small, dynamic team where every member has the chance to make a significant impact, shaping the future direction of our company and making a real difference.\n\nWe believe in rewarding our team for their achievements, celebrating our successes but equally helping each other when things are tough.\n\nYou’ll\nSupport the Project Management and Commercial Teams in the effective identification, assessment and management of project risks.\n\nFacilitate and support risk workshops, ensuring key risks, opportunities and exposures are identified and appropriately captured.\n\nMaintain project risk registers, ensuring risks are clearly defined in terms of causes, events, impacts and appropriate mitigation actions.\n\nWork with project teams to assess the likelihood and impact of identified risks and support the development of effective and proportionate responses.\n\nMonitor risk mitigation actions and work with stakeholders to ensure agreed actions are progressed and closed out.\n\nSupport the production of monthly project reports, providing accurate risk information, analysis and insight.\n\nAssist with qualitative and quantitative risk analysis to help project teams understand potential cost and schedule exposure.\n\nIdentify trends, emerging risks and areas of concern, escalating these to senior members of the team where appropriate.\n\nBuild strong working relationships with project and client stakeholders, helping to promote a positive and proactive risk culture.\n\nContribute to the continuous improvement of CMR's risk management processes, tools and ways of working.\n\nSupport Senior Risk Managers and Project Controls Leads in delivering high-quality risk management services to our clients.\n\nWe’re looking for:\nEssential\nRelevant experience within a project management, project controls or risk management environment.\n\nExperience working on major construction or infrastructure projects.\n\nA good understanding of risk management methodologies, mitigation processes and techniques.\n\nExperience in developing and maintaining project risk registers.\n\nExperience facilitating or supporting risk workshops with project stakeholders.\n\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret project information and identify potential areas of risk.\n\nA technically minded individual who can understand technical concepts and communicate them clearly to a wider audience.\n\nGood communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to challenge assumptions and ask the right questions.\n\nA proactive approach to identifying opportunities to improve project performance and risk management.\n\nDesirable\nRecognised project management or risk qualification such as Association for Project Management (APM) or Institute of Risk Management (IRM).\n\nExperience of quantitative risk analysis and/or cost and schedule risk analysis.\n\nExperience using risk management or quantitative risk analysis tools such as @Risk, Primavera Risk Analysis, ARM or Safran.\n\nExperience working within a project controls environment.\n\nAt CMR\nWe have a strong culture driven by our 9 Core Principles.
