The role coordinates in and outbound material logistics as well as completes inventory optimization and organization within the warehouse.\nMain Responsibilities\nAdminister multi-step paper material transactions within the relevant material systems, prioritize, print and assign pick lists\nCreate purchase requisitions for stock and non-stock materials\nDocument and tag all returned and repairable materials\nMaintain and reconcile inventory against all material movements (e.g., request, order, pick, count, pack, receive, inspect, store, return, issue and others) and validate reconciliation reports\nHandle shipping and processing of cores, repair and return items and warranty items per Return Material Authorization (RMA) and core pool requirements\nCoordinate in and outbound material logistics, including preparing, tracing and expediting\nOrganize the physical warehouse (e.g., organizing bin locations and housekeeping)\nOptimize inventory levels and monitor inventory records for plant and storage locations\nHandle materials and supply distribution (e.g., request, order, pick, count, pack, receive, inspect, store, return, issue materials) from and within the warehouse\nPerform the physical movement of materials (e.g., unload and load, deliver to and stage material in appropriate locations)\nWorking Conditions\nThe role is performed in a combination of office and outdoor environment in various types of weather conditions with a regular workweek from Monday to Friday\nThe role requires Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)\nThe role requires the ability to operate forklift trucks\nMust have the ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.\nMust have the ability to work in a team environment as well as independently in a self-driven, organized manner, and be able to multi-task\nExperience\nExperience in warehouse operations, material handlingor inventory management\nEducation/Certification/Designation\nMust be a qualified Material Handler or be able to qualify as a Material Handler\nMust be in possession of valid forklift operator's card or pass a forklift operation test within the qualification period\nMust have a Valid Driver's License\nCompetencies\nWe Care About Each Other\nWe Strive for Excellence\nWe Succeed Together\nWe Lead Responsibly\nTechnical Skills/Knowledge\nMust pass a proficiency test related to key computer systems including Systems Applications and Products (SAP), Service Reliability Systems (SRS) and basic desktop applications such as Excel, Word, Outlook, and Intranet\nMust be aware of the rules and regulations that relate to the transportation and handling of dangerous goods and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS), and pass a proficiency test\nMust have general knowledge of material classifications\nMust comply with mechanical rules and policies\nMust have good knowledge and show strength in material management processes and procedures\nStrong interpersonal and communication skills and be able to converse in English and French*\n*Any experience/education/skills/knowledge for these above would be considered as an asset\nAdditional Information (If Any)\nThe position will receive training at the beginning of employment with CN for three weeks.
