Every role contributes to protecting businesses, livelihoods and communities, giving our people the opportunity to make a meaningful and visible impact.\n\nThe Role\nWe are currently hiring for an Underwriting Assistant in our Manchester office to provide essential support to underwriters in reviewing and processing new and renewal accounts, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across underwriting operations.\nWhat You’ll Be Doing:\nSupport Underwriting Processes: Assist with the review and processing of new and renewal business, including data entry, file preparation, and policy issuance.\nBroker & Internal Communication: Act as a key link between underwriting and other departments, requesting information and following up with brokers and internal teams.\nPolicy Administration: Issue quotes and policies upon underwriter approval and process mid-term adjustments as required.\nMaintain Data Quality & Standards: Ensure accuracy in policy administration systems and uphold operational risk controls.\nCollaborate & Contribute: Provide assistance to other Underwriting Assistants and participate in special projects when needed.\nWhat We’re Looking For:\nOrganisational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks independently while maintaining high levels of productivity and quality.\nCommunication & Teamwork: Strong interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with brokers and internal teams.\nTechnical Knowledge: Familiarity with Microsoft Office and policy processing procedures; knowledge of insurance products is an advantage.\nAttention to Detail: Commitment to maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.\nDesire to Learn - Strong interest in developing underwriting knowledge and decision-making skills.\nWhy Join CNA Hardy?\nOur workplace is dynamic, challenging and ever evolving, here your voice matters and you can make a difference.
