In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to formally build out a security plan, develop controls and deploy protections to the CNA environment. This is a hands-on role across various domains of cybersecurity based on your interest.\nJOB DESCRIPTION:\nProgram Features and Benefits:\nResearch and assess the risk of emergent cybersecurity threats. Work directly with experienced CNA Information Security staff to understand real-world cyber-threats\n\nLearn about industry-leading cybersecurity tooling, controls and protections\n\nPartner on information security reviews with experienced cybersecurity leaders to advise the business on potential cybersecurity concerns. Assist in investigating and resolving CNA information security incidents.\n\nConduct reputational checks against files, source networks and domains utilizing open source and proprietary analysis tools.\n\nApply risk assessment practices to understand the potential impact of IT projects and changes to CNA\n\nExecute challenging, innovative assignments that provide real-world experience in applying technical education to technology projects.\n\nIn-depth education in technology, the insurance industry, CNA’s organization and how Technology plays a leading role in an insurer’s profitability\n\nA dedicated manager and a mentor who will guide you throughout your internship program at CNA\n\nOpportunities to meet with members of our senior leadership team and learn about their personal experiences in Technology within the insurance industry\n\nRequired Knowledge, Skills and Experience:\nMust be a sophomore, junior or senior (undergraduate) or in first year of Master’s program pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Physical/Life Sciences, Accounting or other related field\n\nKnowledge of Information Security and Application Security\n\nKnowledge of Systems and Network Architecture\n\nAbility to research and analyze technical concepts\n\nAbility to work independently as well as in a team environment, and the ability to cultivate and maintain positive business relationships\n\nStrong organizational skills\n\nExcellent interpersonal and communication skills\n\nEffective problem solving, analytical aptitude, learn quickly and embrace change\n\nAbility to learn and change quickly\n\nMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future\n\nProgram Location:\nCNA’s corporate headquarters is located in the heart of downtown Chicago at 151 N Franklin St, near all public transportation from the city and suburbs. The program will employ a hybrid working model, alternating between working in the office and from home.\nIn certain jurisdictions, CNA is legally required to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation for this role. In District of Columbia,California, Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois,Maryland, Massachusetts, New York and Washington, the national base pay range for this job level is$35,000 to $65,000 annually. Salary determinations are based on various factors, including but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location.
