Interns will have experiences in areas such as Application Development and Dev Ops while working with Agile methodologies and tools.\nJOB DESCRIPTION:\nProgram Features and Benefits:\nChallenging, innovative assignments that provide real-world experience in applying technical education to technology projects\nWork directly with experienced CNA developers to learn the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodology\nApply software engineering best practices such as Test Driven Development (TDD)\nUse Public Cloud platforms to create business applications and services\nIn-depth education in technology, the insurance industry, CNA’s organization and how Technology plays a leading role in an insurer’s profitability\nA dedicated manager and a mentor who will guide you throughout your internship program at CNA\nOpportunities to meet with members of our senior leadership team and learn about their personal experiences in Technology within the insurance industry\nProfessional and personal development activities and ongoing feedback and coaching on performance\nConsideration for potential full-time placement upon graduation\nRequired Knowledge, Skills and Experience:\nMust be a sophomore, junior or senior (undergraduate) or in first year of Masters program pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field\nA minimum 3.00 GPA is required (overall and major)\nComputer Science courses in:Object-oriented language(s), Java preferred\nData Structures\nWeb Development\nSQL and Database Fundamentals\n\nKnowledge of Information Security and Application Security\nKnowledge of Systems and Network Architecture\nInterest in the Insurance Industry\nSome previous work experience preferred\nAbility to work independently as well as in a team environment, and the ability to cultivate and maintain positive business relationships\nStrong organizational skills\nExcellent interpersonal and communication skills\nEffective problem solving, analytical aptitude, learn quickly and embrace change\nAbility to learn and change quickly\nDemonstrated leadership ability\nMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future\nProgram Location:\nCNA’s corporate headquarters is located in the heart of downtown Chicago at 151 N Franklin St, near all public transportation from the city and suburbs. The program will employ a hybrid working model, alternating between working in the office and from home.\nIn certain jurisdictions, CNA is legally required to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation for this role. In District of Columbia,California, Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois,Maryland, Massachusetts, New York and Washington, the national base pay range for this job level is$35,000 to $65,000 annually. Salary determinations are based on various factors, including but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location.
