As an Embryology Supervisor you will be proficient in all areas of the laboratory as well as lead a team of embryologists. This position requires a weekend and holiday rotation.\nRequired Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.\nDaily quality control, media preparation and dish preparation\n\nMicroscope and pipettor use\n\nUse of other lab equipment to complete procedures: balance, pH meter, CO2monitor, labeler, etc.\n\nOocyte retrieval and denuding of oocytes\n\nEmbryo and oocyte thawing/embryo and oocyte freezing\n\nFertilization checks and embryo transfers\n\nICSI and conventional fertilization techniques\n\nUnderstand and be able to use eIVF for data entry\n\nSchedule procedures, complete tasks, and navigate patient charts\n\nUnderstand cryopreservation and storage of specimens\n\nBeginning patient communication and patient identification\n\nAssist in cleaning and stocking the laboratory\n\nPerform PGT and loading of samples and able to interpret a PGT report and call patient results\n\nPerform PESA/TESE sperm retrievals and search\n\nSupervise the entire embryology staff, including overseeing PTO and scheduling staff\n\nParticipate in the alarm response team, be able and willing to troubleshoot and respond to alarms\n\nThis position may also be responsible for performing other duties as assigned, consistent with the role and operations needs of the organization\n\nQualifications:\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Minimum 5 years of experience in Embryology lab and 1 year of supervisory experience required.\nLanguage Ability:\nAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.\nMath Ability:\nAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.\nReasoning Ability:\nAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.\nKnowledge, Skills and Other Abilities:\nExcellent oral and written communication skills. \nMust be able to lift 25lbs. \nExcellent computer literacy. \nAdequate vision or corrective lenes for sample identification. \nAbility to multitask in fast paced environments.\nWork Environment:\nThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
