multidisciplinary engineering firm is seeking an experienced CADD Technician / Designer to join its team in Lexington, Kentucky.\nThis position will work closely with project managers, engineers, and other design professionals to develop detailed drawings and construction documents for a variety of civil and infrastructure projects.\nThe ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Civil 3D and AutoCAD, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple design priorities in a fast-paced consulting environment.\nKey Responsibilities\nPrepare and develop detailed CADD drawings and construction documents for civil and infrastructure projects\nAssist project managers and engineers with conceptual development through final design\nUtilize Civil 3D and AutoCAD to create and modify project drawings\nDevelop site layouts, grading plans, utility plans, profiles, and other civil design documents\nCreate and work with Civil 3D surfaces and grading\nCoordinate drawings and design information with engineers, project managers, and other project disciplines\nAssist with the preparation of project specifications and supporting documentation\nPrepare construction quantities and assist with opinions of probable cost\nAssist with documentation required for permitting and regulatory approvals\nCreate, maintain, and improve CADD templates, standards, and styles\nReview drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project standards\nMaintain accurate project files and design documentation\nAssist with the continued improvement and standardization of CADD processes and best practices\nStay current with CADD software, tools, updates, and industry practices\nRequirements\nVocational certificate or Associate's degree in Civil Technology, CADD, Engineering Technology, or a related discipline preferred\n5+ years of relevant CADD/design experience preferred\nExtensive hands-on design experience may be considered in place of formal education\nCurrent AutoCAD and Civil 3D expertise required\nExperience with Civil 3D surfaces and grading\nExperience creating and setting up CADD templates and styles\nStrong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, plans, and technical documents\nArcGIS experience is a plus\nField survey experience is a plus\nStrong written and verbal communication skills\nHigh level of organizational skills and attention to detail\nExcellent time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities\nAbility to work effectively both independently and as part of a project team\nStrong problem-solving skills and a commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work\nDesire to continue developing technical skills and stay current with evolving design
