Cobalt runs penetration testing as a service, matching customers with a vetted community of security researchers. Tests are scheduled through a platform that tracks findings, retests fixes and produces the reports auditors ask for. The model suits companies that need recurring assessments rather than one annual engagement.

Who We Are

Cobalt was founded on the belief of a fundamental human aspiration: the desire to live better and safer. It all started in 2013, when our founders realized that pentesting can be better. Today our diverse, fully remote team is committed to helping organizations of all sizes with seamless, effective and collaborative Offensive Security Testing that empower organizations to OPERATE FEARLESSLY and INNOVATE SECURELY.

Our customers can start a pentest in as little as 24 hours and integrate with advanced development cycles thanks to the powerful combination of our SaaS platform and an exclusive community of testers known as the Cobalt Core. Accepting just 5% of applicants, the Cobalt Core boasts over 400 closely vetted and highly skilled testers who jointly conduct thousands of tests each year and are at the forefront of identifying and helping remediate risk across a dynamically changing attack surface.

  • End-to-End Feature Ownership: Take full operational ownership of product features across the entire lifecycle-from initial ideation and specification to execution, deployment, and post-launch evaluation.
  • Proactive Leadership & Process Innovation: Actively challenge inefficient workflows, implement scalable product processes, and foster high alignment across engineering, design, marketing, and executive stakeholders.
  • Transparent & Structured Communication: Maintain standard executive-level visibility into roadmap progress, product decisions, and operational metrics through regular updates and clear artifact documentation.
  • Domain Expertise in Autonomous Security: Serve as the internal subject matter expert on continuous vulnerability management, AI-driven offensive security techniques, and automated pentesting workflows.
  • Data-Driven Performance Management: Define and monitor rigorous success criteria, evaluating product performance against strategic business metrics and customer satisfaction outcomes.

You Must Have

  • 8+ years of Product Management experience with expertise in strategic leadership, end-to-end feature ownership, and delivering tangible business ROI, including 5+ years in cybersecurity products and preferably 3+ years in offensive security.
  • Proven track record in continuous product discovery, conducting user research, and validating continuous or automated security offerings.
  • Experience driving autonomous or continuous or security solutions, vulnerability management platforms, or related enterprise offensive security offerings.
  • Strong proactive leadership capability with a willingness to challenge processes, streamline workflows, and eliminate operational friction.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills across technical teams, leadership, and external customer audiences.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. You’re great at explaining highly technical topics to technical and non technical audiences, with a talent for building empathy for user problems.
