The role involves significant collaboration with business and IT teams, with the opportunity to integrate and transform data from various systems into structures that power analytical solutions, AI/ML models, and data products - designing, developing, and implementing Azure-based solutions that connect certified and validated data sources to multiple consumption layers, including Power BI visualizations, downstream applications, and other teams' data needs.\nYOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:\n\nDesign, build, and maintain scalable ELT/ETL pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks, ensuring reliability and performance for large-scale enterprise data.\nDevelop data transformation logic and business rules using Python (PySpark) and Spark SQL, applying software engineering best practices such as modular code, unit testing, and version control.\nDesign, optimize, and maintain distributed data processing solutions on Delta Lake for large-scale enterprise datasets.\nContribute to the design and evolution of our medallion architecture and golden layer strategy, implemented on Delta Lake within Databricks.\nOwn the operational health of production pipelines, including monitoring, alerting, incident response, and continuous improvement.\nImplement data ingestion processes from multiple heterogeneous sources - including structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data - ensuring accuracy, completeness, and consistency.\nSupport the migration from SAP BW, ensuring data continuity and quality throughout, using Python-based validation and reconciliation frameworks.\nEnsure data integrity and availability through appropriate storage solutions, partitioning strategies, and access controls across Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 and Databricks.\nWork autonomously to deliver complex data engineering tasks with minimal supervision, while proactively communicating progress and blockers.\nCollaborate closely with data scientists, BI analysts, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions - including data products that feed AI/ML models built on Databricks.\nParticipate in agile ceremonies, contribute to sprint planning, and take end-to-end ownership of technical deliverables.\nARE THESE YOUR SECRET INGREDIENTS?\n\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.\n4+ years of experience in data engineering with a strong focus on Azure (Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage, Fabric).\nProven experience designing and building production-grade data pipelines that handle large volumes of data reliably.\nExtensive hands-on experience with Azure Databricks (PySpark / Spark SQL) for designing, developing, optimizing, and maintaining production-grade distributed data transformation pipelines.\nStrong SQL skills and experience with data modelling, schema design, and query optimization.\nPython programming skills with experience building scalable data engineering frameworks, automation, validation, and reconciliation solutions using PySpark.\nSolid understanding of data warehouse and lakehouse concepts.\nExperience using Git-based version control and collaborative software development practices.\nExperience implementing CI/CD for data pipelines using Azure DevOps and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform).\nFamiliarity with DevSecOps principles and experience working within the SAFe Agile framework.\nKnowledge of SAP BW (extractors, transformations, queries, data export) and experience supporting BW migrations.\nExperience with real-time or near-real-time streaming pipelines (Azure Event Hubs, Apache Kafka, Spark Streaming).\nExperience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and Hive, and large data volume management.\nWorking knowledge of additional programming languages such as Scala or C#/.NET would be considered an advantage.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving mindset - you enjoy finding root causes, not just symptoms.\nExperience with Power BI and DAX for building analytical models and connecting to enterprise data.\nStrong ability to work independently, manage your own priorities, and deliver under ambiguity.\nExcellent communication skills - able to translate technical concepts for business stakeholders and vice versa.\nGood proficiency in English as a day-to-day business language.\nABOUT YOUR NEW TEAM:\nWe are Coca-Cola Hellenic, a growth-focused consumer goods business and strategic bottling partner of the Coca-Cola Company.
