This position is also responsible for general duties involving physical handling of product, materials, supplies and equipment.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nOperate and monitor equipment in an efficient manner and replenish materials as needed.\nTransport raw materials, full goods and/or finished goods to designated area.\nSet up machinery ensuring all production materials are available.\nVisually inspect production run and document results.\nDetermine and report malfunctions to appropriate parties.\nResponsible for meeting productivity requirements.\nComplete required paperwork as directed.\nAnalyze production line to identify areas for continuous improvement.\nResponsible for the prevention of widespread breakdown in production.\nAdhere to good manufacturing practices and safety standards.\nWatch for potential problems on the production line.\nMaintain awareness of the schedule and materials needed for the efficient operation of equipment.\nMaintain cleanliness of production area and keep all work areas clean through good housekeeping to include but not limited to: sweeping and mopping when necessary, recycling/destroying defective finished goods, proper shut off procedures for equipment at end of day.\nOperate forklifts in a safe manner.\nConform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions.\nConform with all safety rules and use all appropriate safety equipment\nJOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES\nAbility to operate manufacturing equipment.\nAbility to operate a manual / powered pallet jack or lift product.\nHearing and eyesight, with or without correction, sufficient to perform essential functions of the job.\nMust be able to work independently.\nMust be detail oriented, dependable, and responsible.\nAdaptability - Ability to adapt to change in the workplace.\nCommunication - Ability to effectively, clearly and concisely communicate verbally to both co-workers and customers.\nDecision Making - Display willingness to make critical decisions while following company practices.\nDelegation - Ability to delegate work, give authority to work independently, set expectations and monitor delegated activities.\nEnthusiasm - Ability to bring energy to the day to day as well as long-term tasks and plans.\nJudgment - Display willingness to make timely decisions and exhibit sound and accurate judgment.\nLeadership - Ability to inspire and motivate others to perform well; accept feedback.\nPlanning & Organizing - Ability to prioritize and plan work activities, use time efficiently and develop realistic action plans.\nReliability - Demonstrate regular attendance and availability to staff and management.\nQuality Management - Demonstrate commitment to improve and promote quality in all operating areas.\nSafety & Security - Promote and personally observe safety and security procedures and use equipment and materials properly.\nHonesty, Integrity, Trust & Respect - Must be seen as truthful and credible and exhibit respectful behavior in all actions representing the company.\nRequirements\nEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE\nHigh School Diploma or GED preferred.\n1-2 years of general work experience.\nPrior warehouse/production/equipment service experience preferred.\nForklift certification is a plus.\nTRAINING REQUIREMENTS\nContinuing education to maintain certification and a current working knowledge of applicable laws and regulations.\nNew Hire Orientation\nCompany’s Inter-Active Safety Training\nAllergen Awareness Training\nDiversity and Harassment Training\nGMP, ISO, and Food Safety/FMSA Training\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS\nMust be able to lift 50 lbs. repetitively.\nIntermittent physical activity including bending, twisting, reaching, and prolonged periods of standing.\nExposure to high noise levels and fast-moving equipment.\nWorking hours vary daily and include overtime and occasional weekends.\nWork involves walking, talking and hearing, using hands to handle, feel or operate objects.
