Working directly with military, government, and specialist end users, the FSR will support systems throughout the customer lifecycle, from initial capability demonstrations and trials through to deployment, training, operational support, and ongoing system optimisation.\nThe successful candidate will be comfortable operating independently in challenging and potentially austere environments and will be capable of translating complex technical capabilities into practical operational solutions.\nYou Will\n\nIntegrate tactical radios, Software Defined Radios (SDRs), edge compute platforms, sensors, applications, and other C5ISR components.\nSupport the integration and deployment of AI/ML-enabled products operating at the tactical edge.\nConduct technical demonstrations, customer evaluations, field trials, and Proof of Concept activities.\nDeliver operator and technical training to military, government, partner, and reseller personnel.\nDiagnose and resolve hardware, software, network, and system integration issues in field environments.\nConduct network planning, system configuration, fault finding, and performance optimisation.\nSupport tactical data distribution across RF and IP networks.\nWork closely with Systems Engineering and Product teams to identify, investigate, and resolve technical issues.\nCapture end-user feedback and translate operational requirements into practical technical recommendations.\nProduce technical reports, configuration documentation, test reports, and After-Action Reviews (AARs).\nProvide technical support to Business Development and Sales teams during customer engagements, exhibitions, demonstrations, and trials.\nMaintain an excellent understanding of company products, competitor capabilities, and emerging C5ISR technologies.\nProvide deployed technical support internationally as required.\nWhat We Are Looking For\n\n The most important requirement is practical experience of MANET technology and tactical radio systems. You may currently work for a MANET, tactical communications or defence technology company, or have gained directly relevant experience within the Armed Forces.\nYou Should Also Have\n\nProven experience in tactical communications, C5ISR, military communications, field service engineering, or systems integration.\nStrong practical experience with MANET, mesh networking, tactical radios, SDRs, and RF communications.\nStrong knowledge of IP networking, including IPv4/IPv6, subnetting, routing, switching, VLANs, multicast, DHCP, DNS, and QoS.\nExperience integrating radios, edge compute platforms, sensors, applications, and other C5ISR systems.\nExperience supporting tactical edge computing and AI/ML-enabled technologies.\nExperience supporting military, government, or specialist end users in field, training, trial, or operational environments.\nFamiliarity with TAK/ATAK or similar tactical situational-awareness systems.\nUnderstanding of cybersecurity principles relevant to deployed networks.\nExperience with SATCOM, LTE/5G, Wi-Fi, ISR sensors, video, or telemetry is desirable.\nPrevious military experience within Signals, Communications, C5ISR, Intelligence, Special Operations, or a related technical discipline is highly desirable.\nTechnical Competencies\n\nMANET, tactical radio, SDR, mesh networking, and RF communications.\nTCP/IP networking, IPv4/IPv6, routing, switching, VLANs, multicast, DHCP, DNS, and QoS.\nNetwork planning, configuration, fault finding, diagnostics, and performance optimisation.\nLinux and/or Windows operating environments.\nIntegration of radios, compute, sensors, applications, and tactical data systems.\nTactical edge computing and AI/ML deployment in bandwidth- and resource-constrained environments.\nTAK/ATAK or equivalent tactical situational-awareness systems.\nCybersecurity principles for deployed and tactical networks.\nAbility to translate complex technical capabilities into practical operational solutions.\nTechnical documentation, system configuration, testing, and reporting.\nWhy Join Kägwerks?\n This is an opportunity to join a rapidly growing business operating at the forefront of tactical networking and edge technology.\nYou will work on varied and technically challenging projects rather than supporting a single fixed product or programme.
