We are well established across multiple markets such as military and defence, uncrewed vehicles such as drones, police and government, and broadcast technology.\nKey Responsibilities\nBudgeting & Forecasting: Leading the annual budget process and managing rolling quarterly or monthly forecasts.\nVariance Analysis: Comparing actual results against budgets and prior years to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.\nBusiness Partnering: Collaborating across departments (Sales, Marketing, Ops) to provide financial support for business cases and new initiatives.\nFinancial Modelling: Building and maintaining complex models for scenario planning (\"what-if\" analysis) and strategic projections.\nManagement Reporting: Delivering monthly performance packs and dashboards to the Board and executive team with clear narratives.\nSystems & Process Improvement: Developing and maintaining internal financial policies and management information systems to ensure data accuracy and efficiency.\nFinancial Reporting: Work alongside Director of Accounting in preparing monthly, half yearly, and annual management accounts and statutory financial statements.\nFinancial Consolidation: Leading the monthly, half yearly, and annual consolidation process for all divisional entities.\nKey Skills / Experience\nQualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).\nThe ability to translate data into clear, concise narratives for non-financial stakeholders.\nThe ability to \"translate\" finance for non-finance people and the confidence to challenge senior stakeholders when the data doesn't support their plan.\nExpert in Microsoft Excel.\nMastery of advanced financial modelling, scenario analysis, and proficiency in BI tools and ERP systems.\nAdditional Requirements\nPreparedness to undergo UK Security Clearance.\nPreparedness to travel if required.\nBenefits and Culture\nOur culture is supportive and collaborative.
