Our AI-powered, cloud platform, RelativityOne, transforms massive volumes of complex information into actionable insights for litigation, investigations, regulatory inquiries, data breach responses, and other high-stakes legal work where accuracy and trust are crucial.\nThe world’s largest law firms, corporations, and government agencies rely on Relativity’s legal AI software to securely surface and manage the most relevant and impactful information in their matters. Beyond our commercial impact, we are committed to expanding access to technology and supporting pro bono legal work.\nWHAT WE DO\nAt Relativity, engineers do more than write code - they build systems that let users uncover insights from complex data at scale using cloud-native architecture, AI, and modern tools.\nThe AI Platform group builds the agentic foundation that powers Relativity’s AI products, including aiR Assist and ClaiR. The Agent Harness team owns the runtime that runs our agents, including agent orchestration, tool and skill execution, memory, and the protocols that allow agents to interact with each other and with external systems.\nABOUT THE ROLE\nAs a Senior AI Engineer on the Agent Harness team, you will shape the architecture of Relativity’s agent runtime, adopting industry frameworks such as LangGraph, LangChain, and Deep Agents and adapting them to Relativity’s needs so every Relativity agent has a strong runtime foundation.\nYou will help mature the harness with capabilities such as long-session handling and broader protocol support, ensuring the platform is prepared for the growing scale of agentic workloads across products like ClaiR and aiR Assist.\nYou will determine which agent patterns become first-class platform capabilities and design clean abstractions that application teams can adopt without rebuilding foundational runtime functionality.\nThis role operates in a rapidly evolving AI ecosystem, requiring continuous exploration of emerging agent architectures and platform capabilities.\nJob Description and Requirements\nWHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR\nRequired\n5+ years of professional software engineering experience, including strong and recent Python experience building production systems.\n\nHands-on experience designing and building LLM-powered or agentic systems using frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, or equivalent technologies.\n\nExperience with tool calling, orchestration, and agent state management.\n\nDemonstrated strength in solution architecture and design, including creating reusable abstractions and foundational building blocks for other engineers.\n\nSolid understanding of modern asynchronous Python, API and service design, and relational databases such as PostgreSQL.\n\nExperience delivering cloud-native systems in Azure or similar cloud environments using CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes.\n\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.\n\nEnglish proficiency for technical communication.\n\nPreferred\nExperience with Deep Agents, multi-agent or subagent architectures, agent memory, or human-in-the-loop workflows.\n\nFamiliarity with the Model Context Protocol (MCP) and Agent-to-Agent (A2A) interoperability.\n\nExperience building platform capabilities and developer-focused infrastructure used by multiple engineering teams.\n\nExperience with RAG and retrieval systems, citation frameworks, and evaluation of LLM output quality.\n\nFamiliarity with observability, tracing, and evaluation tooling such as MLflow and OpenTelemetry.\n\nExperience supporting safe model upgrades through evaluation frameworks and testing practices.\n\nExperience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Pulumi or Terraform.\n\nWHY WE COULD BE A GREAT FIT\nImpactful Mission\nBuild systems that help customers organize data, discover the truth, and act on it in high-stakes legal matters.\n\nEngineering at Scale\nWork on distributed, cloud-native systems that process large volumes of data.\n\nCutting-Edge Technology\nBuild with AI, cloud platforms, and scalable architectures shaping legal tech.\n\nGrowth and Ownership\nGain experience owning systems end-to-end across cloud and distributed environments.\n\nCollaborative Culture\nWork in a team focused on knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.\n\nInclusive Environment\nDiverse perspectives create stronger teams and better outcomes.\n\nCompensation and Benefits\nCompetitive salary, benefits, DTO, parental leave, and equity program.\n\nRelativity is committed to competitive, fair, and equitable compensation practices.\nThis position is eligible for total compensation which includes a competitive base salary, an annual performance bonus, and long-term incentives.\nThe expected salary range for this role is between following values:\n245 000 and 367 000PLN\nThe final offered salary will be based on several factors, including but not limited to the candidate's depth of experience, skill set, qualifications, and internal pay equity. Hiring at the top end of the range would not be typical, to allow for future meaningful salary growth in this position.\nRequired Skills:\nAlgorithms, Big Data, Cloud Computing, Computer Vision, Data Science, Deep Learning, Natural Language, Natural Language Processing (NLP), Project Management, Software Engineering\nApply to Relativity.\nThe application form is on the company's own site.\nApply on kcura.wd1.myworkdayjobs.comHiring engineers?
