What started as an ambitious project of a 19-year-old in 2013 has grown into a global mobility platform used by more than 200 million customers and 4.5 million driver and courier partners across 50 countries.\nFrom ride-hailing and food delivery to scooters, e-bikes, and car-sharing, Bolt helps people move through cities every day. Small, autonomous teams drive this work, combining the speed and ownership of a startup with the scale of a global technology company backed by more than €1bn in funding.\nAnd we're just getting started.\nWhy join Bolt?\nBuild the future of mobility and help transform how people live and move in cities.\n\nTackle challenges at scale that span technology, operations, regulation, and growth.\n\nTake real ownership early. Small, lean teams mean your decisions matter from day one, and you'll learn fast alongside some of the best people in the industry.\n\nJoin one of Europe's leading technology companies, backed by world-class investors including Sequoia.\n\nAbout the role\nEngineers in the Insights team play a key role in shaping Bolt’s data ecosystem. We own the infrastructure that reliably delivers quality data wherever it’s needed. Data specialists use the tools we build to model and transform raw data into reusable, analysis-ready datasets.\nWe work across the stack - developer tools and frameworks with Python; managing infrastructure with AWS, Terraform, Databricks, and Kubernetes; automations with GitHub Actions and Airflow. We own some data pipelines, but they're not our primary focus.\nMain tasks and responsibilities:\nOwn, provision, and improve the cloud infrastructure (AWS, Kubernetes, Databricks, Airflow) that runs 800+ daily workflows and supports thousands of data models and metrics.\n\nBuild and maintain the internal Python tools and CI/CD pipelines that hide infrastructure complexity, so data teams can validate, test, and release their dbt models and data products more easily.\n\nBuild and maintain the observability layers, alerting systems, and deployment pipelines that track the platform's health, uptime, and compute costs.\n\nEnsure customer success by defining, designing, and delivering intuitive solutions. Our engineers don’t sit and wait for tasks - they shape the platform’s direction.\n\nRaise our product and technical quality bar by promoting software engineering best practices.\n\nAbout you:\nYou have at least 5 years of software engineering experience, including hands-on work with data-intensive systems and infrastructure-as-code in cloud environments.\n\nProficient in Python or another mainstream OOP language. We care about adaptability and strong engineering fundamentals.\n\nYou understand modern CI/CD practices and value observability, testing, and automation as core engineering principles.\n\nYou have excellent communication skills, are fluent in spoken and written English, and you’re comfortable collaborating with both technical and non-technical colleagues.\n\nYou’re driven by customer success and have a track record of leading and delivering complex, cross-team projects.\n\nYou’re familiar with modern data stack and platforms (Databricks, Delta Lake / Iceberg, or equivalents).\n\nSome perks may differ depending on your location and role.\nAt Bolt, using AI daily is a baseline expectation for everyone. If there's a faster, smarter way to do your work, we expect you to find it. You're still responsible for the output, so the standard stays high when using AI tools. Experience is great, but what we really look for is drive, intelligence, and integrity. So even if you don't tick every box, please consider applying!\nEveryone is welcome\nBolt is an equal opportunity employer. We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace where all qualified applicants are considered for employment without regard to race, colour, nationality, religion, gender or gender identity, sexual orientation, age, or disability.\nWe welcome applications from all backgrounds and are happy to make reasonable accommodations throughout our hiring process. If you require any adjustments, please let us know.\nApply to Bolt.\nThe application form is on the company's own site.\nApply on bolt.euHiring engineers?
