By working with our Warsaw office, you will help shape scalable, data-driven products used across our markets, working with a modern tech stack and international teams to continuously improve how people discover, order, and enjoy HelloFresh’s products, today and in the future.\nAbout the role: What's in the Box\nAs a Senior Data Product Engineer on the Marketing Customer Profile team under Growth Alliance, you will design and scale the foundational data layer that powers high-impact personalization and real-world segmentation. You will be responsible for integrating diverse data sources into a unified customer view, enabling advanced AI/ML modeling and real-time marketing activations. By optimizing our Databricks-based infrastructure, you will ensure our data is the engine behind every personalized customer journey.\nAt HelloTech, flexibility and cross-functional collaboration are core to how we work. While this role is aligned to a specific Alliance, strong candidates may also be considered for opportunities across different teams or projects.\nWhat you’ll do: The Recipe \nAt HelloFresh we are moving away from a model where software developers just execute tickets toward one where product engineers are trusted to own customer problems. A Product Engineer takes a problem, forms a point of view, validates it with customers and data, and ships it using AI as a force multiplier.\nWork on the end-to-end process, including architecture, design, development, deployment, and operations of data pipelines, applying DevOps practices, pair programming, and other cutting-edge methodologies.\n\nBe an active, solution-oriented contributor within autonomous, cross-functional agile teams collaborating with Product Owners, Back-end Engineers, Front-end Engineers, Product Analysts, and Business Intelligence teams.\n\nDemonstrate an in-depth understanding of HelloFresh’s core product and architecture, acting as a technical expert for software solutions and offering support to colleagues.\n\nWork with state-of-the-art technologies like AWS (EMR, Glue, s3, etc), Kafka, PySpark, Kubernetes, Airflow, Prefect, Tecton, Databricks, as well as in-house Data Pipeline tools.\n\nWork beyond your specialization when the problem demands it. Your specialization is your anchor, not your boundary.\n\nOperate what you build. You instrument, monitor, and improve your systems in production. Shipping is the beginning of the learning cycle, not the end.\n\nWhat you’ll bring: The Ingredients\nHands-on experience working with AI tooling (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot) beyond casual experimentation. You use AI agents every day. You have a practical sense of how the context you provide to AI tools shapes output quality, and how to set boundaries on AI-generated work.\n\nStrong background in data engineering with a focus on writing clean, maintainable Python code\n\nProficient in working with cloud platforms and data technologies such as PySpark and Kubernetes. Streaming technologies is a plus.\n\nSkilled in designing scalable data models and working with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL) and object stores (e.g., AWS S3)\n\nBasic understanding of Backend Development\n\nTrack record of building and optimizing efficient, reliable data pipelines\n\nCommitted to ensuring data quality, implementing monitoring practices, and maintaining high testing standards across the development lifecycle\n\nComfortable in agile environments, embracing fast iterations, lean principles, and continuous delivery\n\nSolid hands-on experience working with AI coding agents (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot) beyond casual experimentation. You use AI agents as thought partners to onboard on unfamiliar codebases and navigate new areas of the code with confidence. You have a practical sense of how the context you provide to AI tools - specifications, constraints, examples - shapes output quality, and a developing awareness of how agentic outputs can fail, with growing habits around verifying, testing, and setting boundaries on AI-generated work.\n\nYou take full ownership. You have a bias to ship.
