from exploratory testing of complex calculation logic to building our automation framework from the ground up.\nKey Responsibilities:\nManual & Exploratory Testing\nAnalyze requirements and create functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end test scenarios.\nPerform manual and exploratory testing of payroll workflows, calculations, and business rules.\nValidate salary, deductions, taxes, bonuses, reimbursements, payslips, and payroll processing.\nAutomation Framework & Scripting\nDesign and build a test automation framework from scratch using Playwright with JavaScript/TypeScript.\nDevelop and maintain reusable Page Objects, utilities, test data, and automation scripts.\nAutomate critical payroll workflows and regression scenarios.\nExecute and troubleshoot automated tests, including failed and flaky tests.\nAPI, Database & CI/CD\nPerform API testing and SQL/database validation to verify data consistency.\nIntegrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines as part of the development workflow.\nDefect Management & Reporting\nLog, track, retest, and verify defects through closure.\nMaintain test reports and continuously improve test coverage and automation quality.\nCollaboration\nWork closely with developers, product managers, and QA teams to identify risks and improve product quality.\nRequirements:\n\n5+ years of experience in Software QA/Testing, with both manual and automation testing.\nStrong experience testing web-based applications.\nHands-on experience with Playwright.\nStrong programming/scripting skills in JavaScript/TypeScript.\nProven experience designing and building an automation framework from scratch.\nExperience with API testing (Postman or similar).\nGood working knowledge of SQL and database validation.\nFamiliarity with Git and general CI/CD concepts and workflows.\nExperience working in Agile/Scrum environments.\nStrong understanding of functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.\nNice to have:\nExperience testing Payroll, HRMS, Finance, or Accounting applications.\nKnowledge of payroll concepts -
