Their core expertise is using a space-based quantum platform to establish long-distance quantum networks with global reach.\n\nThe Role We're looking for highly motivated FPGA engineers to join a team of space quantum pioneers in Singapore. The company is commercializing quantum communications to prepare the world for the quantum future. Think quantum space lasers, entanglement and military-grade secure communications. As part of this mission, they plan to launch a constellation of satellites to enable worldwide entanglement distribution. The earliest application is highly secure delivery of encryption keys for secret communications.\n\nYou'll work directly with scientists and engineers to overcome the technical challenges of quantum communication in the real world.\n\nResponsibilities\n\nBreak down requirements in detail, and produce work plans and documentation\n\nDesign, program and test FPGA-based platforms for Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) systems\n\nCollaborate with domain and technology experts on solutions based on state-of-the-art and cutting-edge R&D\n\nPrepare user documentation and guides to support the use of QKD hardware\n\nPresent technical content effectively, both internally and to customers\n\nHelp create commercial and research proposals that support the company's work and its partners\n\nOther related functions as assigned\n\nQualifications\n\nBachelor's degree in electronics engineering with 5 years of working experience, or master's degree in electronics engineering with 2 years of working experience\n\nExceptional academic achievements and/or demonstrated passion for technology through extra-curricular activities\n\nCuriosity about working at the forefront of deep-tech development\n\nMust-Have Technical Skills\n\nExperience with FPGA hardware and software design (VHDL/Verilog), e.g. FPGA time taggers\n\nExperience implementing electronics interfaces (I2C, SPI, Ethernet, etc.)\n\nExperience designing and testing PCB boards, including high-speed signal considerations\n\nStrong documentation and quality-control discipline\n\nBonus Skills (experience in any of these is an advantage)\n\nQuantum communication\n\nAnalogue electronics\n\nTelecommunications\n\nTime stamping or TDC\n\nLIDAR\n\nSpace
