You will build secure, resilient and well-monitored integrations through the bank’s API and middleware layers. This is an onsite role in Riyadh, open to all nationalities, requiring strong Appian integration experience and a solid enterprise integration or Java background.\nKey Responsibilities\nBuild Connected Systems, Integration objects and Appian Web APIs for inbound and outbound services\nIntegrate with core banking, CRM, DMS, payment, credit bureau (e.g. SIMAH) and government services (e.g. Nafath, Yakeen) via the bank’s API gateway/ESB\nImplement secure authentication: OAuth 2.0, mTLS, API keys, SAML/OIDC SSO and LDAP/AD group sync\nDevelop custom Java plug-ins (smart services, functions, connected system plug-ins) where out-of-the-box features fall short\nDesign for resilience: retries, timeouts, idempotency, error queues and asynchronous patterns with Kafka/MQ\nHandle file-based and batch integrations (SFTP, bulk loads) securely\nImplement integration logging, monitoring and alerting; support production incidents\nProduce interface specifications and work with downstream system owners on contract changes\nRequirements\n10+ years of total experience, including 5+ years of Appian integrations\nStrong enterprise integration or Java background\nAppian Certified Senior Developer (mandatory)\nNotice period of 1 month, or immediate joiners preferred\nMust Haves\nExpert in Appian Connected Systems, Integrations and Web APIs\nStrong Java (Java 11+), REST/SOAP, JSON/XML and OpenAPI/WSDL\nExperience with API gateways and middleware (e.g. Apigee, Kong, IBM ACE/IIB, MuleSoft)\nMessaging: Kafka, IBM MQ or RabbitMQ\nSecurity standards for banking integrations, encryption and secret management\nStrong analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills\nNice to Have\nJava or API-platform certification\nSpring Boot microservices\nOpen banking experience (SAMA Open Banking Framework)\nAppian RPA\nBenefits\nWhy Join Us\nOwn the integration backbone of a leading bank in KSA, connecting Appian to core banking, national services and enterprise platforms at production scale.\nDisclaimer\nThis job description is intended to convey information essential to understanding the scope of the role.
