At CodeNinja, we value innovation, excellence, and a culture of continuous learning - enabling our teams to deliver smarter, faster, and stronger.\nJob Summary\nWe are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer (8+ Years) to develop, enhance, and maintain automated testing solutions for complex enterprise systems.\nThe role requires strong technical expertise in test automation frameworks, CI/CD integration, regression automation, API automation, and working with cross-functional testing teams.\nYou will collaborate closely with the Manual Test Lead, engineering teams, and DevOps to ensure test coverage, quality, and stability across release cycles.\nKey Responsibilities\nAutomation Development & Maintenance\n Develop and maintain automation scripts for regression, functional, and SIT testing. \n Create reusable automation frameworks, utilities, and libraries. \n Debug, optimize, and enhance test scripts for improved reliability and performance. \n Ensure automated tests are scalable, modular, and aligned with best practices. \nCI/CD Integration\n Integrate automated test suites into Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or equivalent pipelines. \n Configure automated execution triggers for nightly builds, code merges, and release cycles. \n Implement reporting and log outputs directly into CI/CD dashboards. \nTesting & Quality Assurance\n Ensure comprehensive test coverage, including UI, API, SIT, and end-to-end scenarios. \n Work closely with the Manual Test Lead to identify automation candidates and maintain prioritization. \n Prepare detailed test reports, execution logs, error summaries, and coverage metrics. \n Participate in defect triage meetings and provide technical insights on automation failures. \nCollaboration & Support\n Collaborate with developers, architects, QA, and DevOps teams for test environment readiness. \n Provide guidance on automation best practices to junior team members. \n Support continuous improvement initiatives in testing methodologies and tools.\nRequirements\nSkills & Expertise Required\nBanking and Fintech experience is preferrable\nAutomation & Framework Expertise\n Strong hands-on experience with automation tools:Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, TestNG, JUnit \n\n Ability to design frameworks from scratch and build scalable, modular architectures. \nAPI Automation\n Proficiency with:REST Assured, Postman, Karate, or similar tools \n\n Ability to automate REST APIs and validate request/response structures. \nProgramming & Scripting\n Strong in at least two programming languages:Java, Python, JavaScript \n\nCI/CD & Version Control\n Experience integrating automation with:Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Bitbucket Pipelines \n\n Knowledge of Git-based workflows. \nDatabase Skills\n Experience with SQL for backend validation and test data preparation. \nTesting Knowledge\n Deep understanding of: \n SIT (System Integration Testing) \n E2E testing \n Regression testing \n Testing complex enterprise systems \nPreferred Skills\n Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS / Azure) is a plus. \n Experience with containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes). \n Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams. \n Strong analytical and debugging skills. \nWhy Join Us\n Work with cutting-edge tools and large-scale enterprise systems. \n Fully remote working environment. \n Opportunity to work with global engineering teams. \n Culture focused on learning, innovation, and technical excellence.\nEqual Opportunity Statement\nAt CodeNinja, we are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
