It boasts an excellent reputation as being a quality and valued care provider where the needs of the residents are at the centre of all that we do. As Assistant Cook you will:\nPrepare, cook, and serve nutritious, delicious meals tailored to individual dietary needs, including special diets.\nLead the mealtime experience from start to finish: food ordering, storage, prep, cooking, serving, and kitchen clean-up.\nChampion kitchen safety, ensuring all practices follow food hygiene, infection control, and COSHH regulations.\nBring joy through food - engage in meaningful conversations with residents while serving, turning meals into moments of connection.\n Support with care - help residents who need assistance at mealtimes with dignity and kindness.\nWorking hours are a mix of mornings and afternoons (8am - 2.30pm / 12.30pm - 7.00pm), based on a 2 week rolling rota, with every other weekend off.\nSkills and Experience Needed\nExperience working in food preparation in a professional kitchen or catering environment.\nA passion for providing excellent service and meals that nourish both body and spirit.\nA positive, proactive approach and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.\nPay and Benefits\nA PRO RATA SALARY OF £25,178\nPlus a huge range of benefits, pension options, wellbeing resources, perks and rewards, visit: Codi - Benefits\nValues\nAt Codi, our values are Compassionate, Authentic, and Progressive.
