Our values are simple:\nAct to deliver.\n\nDisrupt to grow.\n\nTeam up to win.\n\nThe project and the team\nWe are looking for a Java Software Engineer to join a strategic network automation initiative focused on accelerating the onboarding of network device features into an enterprise automation platform.\nThe project involves transforming XML/XPath-based feature definitions into maintainable Java implementations, leveraging AI agents to automate and accelerate development workflows. The engineer will work on feature onboarding, backend service development, API integration, code generation, testing, troubleshooting, and scalability improvements.\nA significant part of the role will involve collaborating with AI-powered development tools and agentic AI systems to generate, validate, and optimize code. The project combines software engineering, network automation, cloud-native technologies, and AI-assisted development practices.\nYour role\nAs a part of the project team, you will be responsible for:\nWorking on backend development in Java within a network domain\n\nTransforming network feature definitions based on XML/XPath into Java-based implementations\n\nBuilding and extending backend services and APIs supporting automation workflows\n\nIntegrating AI agents into development and automation processes (AI-assisted code generation and validation)\n\nEnsuring code quality through unit and integration testing\n\nInvestigating and resolving bugs, performance issues, and scalability challenges\n\nCollaborating with engineers, QA, and architects in an agile environment\n\nParticipating in code reviews and technical discussions\n\nSupporting continuous improvement of development and automation processes\n\nDo we have a match?\nAs a Java Software Engineer, you must meet the following criteria:\nMinimum 5+ years of professional experience in Java software development\n\nExperience working with backend systems and API development\n\nKnowledge of computer networks (switching, routing, VLANs, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)\n\nExperience using AI-assisted development tools or agentic AI workflows\n\nExperience with cloud environments (AWS / Azure / GCP)\n\nStrong understanding of XML and XPath\n\nExperience with REST-based services\n\nGood analytical and problem-solving skills\n\nGood communication skills and ability to work in an agile team\n\nGood knowledge of English (B2+ level)\n\nBeyond the criteria above, we would appreciate the nice-to-haves:\nProfessional experience working with Golang\n\nExperience with CI/CD pipelines\n\nExperience working in large-scale or distributed systems\n\nKnowledge of ReactJS or similar frontend frameworks\n\nExperience with code generation or model-driven development approaches\n\nExperience with performance tuning and
