In this position, you will be responsible for guaranteeing the resilience, dependability, and performance of networking platforms and hardware. You will oversee the complete system bring-up process, maintain high platform stability, and execute rigorous soak testing to ensure our solutions are fully production-ready.\nWhat else you should know:\nThe team consists of 5 people including a tech lead, project manager, and software engineers and network engineers.\n\nWe use SCRUM/Agile methodology.\n\nOur tech stack for the project includes: Python, C, SONiC, ONIE, TCP/IP, UDP, BGP, OSPF, VRF\n\nThe client is based in the US\n\nWe work on multiple interesting projects at the time, so it may happen that we’ll invite you to the interview for another project, if we see that your competencies and profile are well suited for it.\nYour role\nAs a part of the team, will be responsible for:\nPerforming SONiC platform bring-up and ONIE installation/configuration and testing\n\nLead the initial bring-up and configuration of SONiC-based networking platforms and hardware.\n\nValidate optical modules, CMIS standards, breakout cables, firmware, and underlying hardware subsystems.\n\nDesigning and maintaining automated test suites for platform validation\n\nValidate and executing system upgrades, recovery procedures, and owning overall system stability and soak testing\n\nOwn the stability, reliability, and soak testing processes to guarantee long-term operational resilience.\n\nMonitor and analyze thermal metrics and power consumption under various workloads.\n\nCollaborating with hardware and software engineering teams to debug and resolve platform issues\n\nDo we have a match?\nAs a Senior Platform / System Validation Engineer you must meet the following criteria:\nHands-on experience with the SONiC platform and ONIE bootloaders (platform bring-up, installation, and configuration)\n\nSolid understanding of optical modules, CMIS standards, and port breakout configurations\n\nExperience with firmware upgrades, system recovery protocols, and bootloaders\n\nProficiency in thermal and power monitoring interfaces and testing\n\nProven track record of owning platform stability, resilience, and long-duration soak testing\n\nProficiency in Python and C for building automated test suites\n\nStrong troubleshooting skills across hardware, firmware, and software boundaries\n\nGood knowledge of computer networking protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, BGP, OSPF, VRF)\n\nFamiliarity with white-box switching hardware and data center network topologies\n\nWorking knowledge of Linux systems\n\nGood command of English (B2 level or higher)\n\nNice-to-Have Tools & Technologies\nGood knowledge of SDN and
