The Account Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations and digital health of client campaigns across display, video, social, search, and other digital channels. This role serves as the primary day-to-day client contact for campaign briefs, deliverables, and performance reporting, while partnering closely with Programmatic, Search, Social, and other cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution. The Account Manager is the foundation of the client engagement team, responsible for strong project management, accurate communication, and timely delivery of campaign work.

The Account Manager also supports media strategy and planning by building a strong understanding of each client's business, contributing research and plan inputs, and helping translate client goals into measurable campaign approaches.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned)

  • Serve as the day-to-day point of contact for assigned clients, responding to requests, campaign briefs, and status questions within one business day.
  • Monitor activation, pacing, and performance of campaigns across programmatic, search, and social platforms; proactively identify and escalate risks and opportunities to senior team members.
  • Own project management for client deliverables, setting turnaround times, managing timelines, and meeting deadlines through agency project management tools.
  • Partner with specialist teams (Programmatic, Search, Social) to ensure campaigns are set up accurately, aligned to client goals, and launched on schedule.
  • Develop a working knowledge of each client's business, objectives, KPIs, target audiences, and competitive landscape. Keep account overviews current so the team plans from a shared understanding.
  • Support media planning by gathering audience research, channel and platform recommendations, and budget allocation inputs. Build media flowcharts and plan documents from inputs approved by the Senior Account Manager or Account Supervisor.
  • Translate client briefs into clear internal planning briefs for specialist teams, including objectives, audiences, budgets, flight dates, and success metrics.
  • Contribute to measurement planning by documenting KPIs and tracking requirements and QA-ing tracking setup, such as pixels and conversion events, before launch.
  • Monitor performance against plan goals, flag trends early, and contribute optimization and test ideas to the senior team.
  • Support quarterly and annual planning cycles with pacing data and recaps of past performance and learnings.
  • Contribute to client reporting and performance reviews by gathering data, quality-checking outputs, and preparing materials, including key insights and recommended next steps for senior team presentation.
  • Support responses to client RFPs and proposal requests with accurate research, competitive intelligence, and input on media strategy and tactical recommendations.
  • Maintain accurate time records, scope awareness, and documentation to support account health and profitability.
  • Adopt and use agency-supported AI tools in daily workflows to improve efficiency and quality; surface ideas for additional use cases to leadership.
  • Participate actively in platform and industry training to build expertise and stay current with the digital media ecosystem.
