You'll have the opportunity to build trusted relationships, identify new opportunities, influence strategic decisions, and play a key role in shaping our clients' data journeys.\nJob Summary\nThe Senior Consultant role is a client-facing consulting position within Consulting Services, focused on leading Data, Analytics and AI engagements using Microsoft technologies such asMicrosoft Fabric, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Azure SQL and Power BI. The role combines hands-on technical delivery, modern data platform architecture, governance, data engineering and analytics expertise with strong consulting, stakeholder management and communication skills. Responsibilities include leading workshops and technical engagements, designing scalable and secure data solutions, supporting pre-sales and proposals, mentoring consultants, managing delivery risks and helping clients realize business value from their data and technology investments, with occasional UK and international travel required.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead the delivery of complex Data, Analytics, AI and platform modernization projects using Microsoft technologies, includingMicrosoft Fabric, Azure Databricks and other Azure data services.\nFacilitate client workshops, discovery sessions and technical engagements, translating business requirements into practical data and analytics solutions.\nDesign scalable, secure and well-governed data platform architectures that align with client objectives and industry best practice.\nProvide technical leadership throughout project delivery, ensuring solutions meet agreed quality, performance and business outcomes.\nSupport business development activities by contributing to pre-sales engagements, solution architecture, estimates and commercial proposals.\nDesign and develop data models, semantic models and analytics solutions that enable data-driven decision making and measurable business value.\nAdvocate for effective data governance, user adoption and change management to maximize the value realized from technology investments.\nMentor and support consultants, promoting engineering excellence, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement across delivery teams.\nProduce high-quality technical documentation, solution designs and client-facing deliverables to support successful project outcomes.\nProactively manage technical risks, dependencies and delivery challenges, working with clients and project teams to ensure successful implementation and adoption.\nTechnical Skills\nYou’ll need experience with some of the following, and an ability to learn new technologies and concepts quickly:\nStrong experience designing and delivering modern data platforms using Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL and Data Lake technologies.\nProven experience implementing Lakehouse, Data Warehouse and Medallion Architecture patterns, including data modelling, governance and performance optimization.\nExpertise in building scalable data ingestion, transformation and orchestration pipelines, integrating data from cloud, on-premises and third-party business systems.\nStrong hands-on capability with SQL, Python, Spark and PySpark for data engineering, analytics and automation workloads.\nExperience with Azure Databricks and/or Microsoft Fabric engineering workloads, including notebooks, Delta Lake, data transformation, optimization and operationalization of data solutions.\nAn understanding of data governance, security, lineage and data quality, using tools and frameworks such as Microsoft Purview and enterprise governance practices.\nExperience developing Power BI semantic models, dashboards and reporting solutions that enable self-service analytics and business decision-making.\nFamiliarity with CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code and DevOps practices for deploying and managing modern data platforms.\nAbility to engage with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable, secure and supportable data and analytics solutions.\nProject Delivery Experience\n3+ years' experience delivering Data & AI, analytics or data platform projects using Microsoft and/or Azure Databricks technologies.\n5 to 8 years' experience in a client-facing consultancy or professional services environment.\nStrong knowledge of Lakehouse, Data Warehousing, data modelling and modern analytics architectures.\nExperience building data pipelines, integration solutions and cloud-based data platforms.\nExcellent stakeholder management, workshop facilitation and communication skills.\nAble to bridge the gap between business requirements and technical solution design.\nExperience delivering projects using Agile methodologies.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving and consulting capabilities.\nWhat Experience/Skills Do I Need?\nProven ability to deliver client engagements and drive successful outcomes.\nSome commercial experience in pre-sales, estimation, and scoping for SOWs.\nStrong client relationship skills, with a track record of high client satisfaction.\nExcellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.\nStrategic mindset with
