Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead a team of analysts in preparing detailed and concise credit reviews.
  • Network and communication to build market relationships and industry knowledge about key industry sectors and make sector studies and research that aim at improving sector expertise.
  • Pro-actively build and maintain good working relationships with underwriting and information colleagues.
  • Contact companies and carry out phone and physical interviews to obtain financial and business information to assess their current situation.
  • Manage information related strategic projects:
  • Evolution and integration with Credit Bureaus
  • Evolution and integration with formal sources
  • Develop Country reports and macro-economic studies
  • Working closely with information providers to monitor the response time and the quality of the information provided to Coface through its partners
  • Support Coface regional development in the region and enhance the underwriting capabilities by performing financial and field analysis to provide a fair credit risk rating.
  • Participate in sensitive buyer visits and in-depth reports,
  • Assessment of debtors on large exposures and sensitive files.
  • Oversee the quality of assessments by others in the team.
  • Ensure the information and DRA represent the most up to date position and that group standards have been applied toward frequency and level of information required.
  • Engage in the review of source information scores to ensure the best quality and accuracy
  • Validate DRA’s according to group delegation rules.
  • Liaise with underwriting colleagues to organize monthly meetings and regularly liaise between both departments for an operational review.
  • Identify local sources of information and develop relationships with different economic players (like banks, trade associations, credit bureaus, competitors and official sources of information such as commercial registries, chambers of commerce) to enhance the level of information.
  • Manage workflows and ensure smooth running of operations during vacation times.
  • Get actively involved in team training, coaching and mentoring, to ensure professional development and efficiency of operations.
  • Lead, motivate and supervise the correct performance of the team according to the proposed goals and the group rules and standards
  • Conduct regular performance reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and procedures as laid down by Coface and external regulators
  • Performing reports and other duties assigned by the management

Specialist Skills & Knowledge

Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior credit risk position (Insurance or bank industry) is require.
