The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, have a desire to work and grow with a multi-discipline engineering team, and be willing to have fun.\nYou would be providing our clients with automatic suppression system design, fire detection, alarm and mass notification system design, life-safety code analysis, egress analysis, fire resistant construction analysis, smoke control analysis and special inspection as well as general fire protection and life safety concepts and research.\nSkills, Knowledge, and abilities:\nDesign and specify basic systems without continuous oversight.\nAssist in managing CAD and production efforts.\nPerform consulting services for internal clients, utilizing Fire Protection Engineering technical skills, including but not limited to: automatic suppression system design; fire detection, alarm and communication system design; code analysis; egress analysis; fire resistant construction analysis; smoke control analysis; as well as general fire protection and life safety concepts and research.\nAble to work independently as well as on teams.\nPossess intermediate level computer skills necessary for daily activities including email, word processing, spreadsheets, graphics, and a working knowledge of computer-aided drafting and Revit, (fire dynamic simulation for fire protection engineers).\nPositive contributor to overall office and department goals, culture, and morale.\nAble to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.\nPossess strong critical thinking, organizational, and analytical abilities.\n BS degree in engineering or related science from accredited college or university\nEIT (required).\nMinimum one year working experience in Fire Protection Engineering (consulting)\nGeneral building construction knowledge \nExperience working with AutoCAD and Revit \nExceptional written and verbal communication skills\nAbility to work on a high-functioning team\nExpected Annual Salary Range: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00.\nSponsorship is not available for this position.\n Why You Want To Work Here\nCoffman Engineers is a company that truly focuses on its employees.
