Come work with a team of engineering professionals dedicated to excellence at Coffman Engineers’ Burlington office.\nCoffman Engineers is seeking an entry-level Industrial Mechanical Designer who is eager to learn, grow, and develop their technical skills as part of a collaborative and growing team. The successful candidate will develop drawings in conformance with project specifications, scope of work, design parameters, codes, and industry practices, and develop a working knowledge of process piping and piping systems; Piping and Instrument Diagrams (P&IDs); Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs); Piping Material Specifications; and valve and instrumentation types and uses.\nThis position is not eligible for sponsorship\n Graduation from a certified CAD training program or a Technical/Associates degree in engineering or related field (preferred)\nExperience in:Autodesk AutoCAD and Revit (Intergraph CADWorx and Autodesk Plant 3D a plus)\nBluebeam Revu\nMicrosoft Office products\n\nExceptional written and verbal communication skills\nRequired Responsibilities Include:\nBecome familiar with accepted design/drafting methods and concepts, engineering and design principles, terminology, and manufacturing materials.\nProvide recommendations for design adaptations and modifications.\nUnder supervision, incorporate decision recommendations. Make decisions regarding design suitability using knowledge of specified product materials and production process.\nUse 3D point cloud laser scans as a design tool for 3D piping design.\nSet up new projects utilizing the AutoCAD sheet set manager, template files and dynamic referencing.\nCorrectly dimension and prepare piping plans, elevations, sections, and isometrics in accordance with project requirements, P&ID’s, and field information.\nPerform walk downs and verifications of existing facilities and piping configurations, as well as developing new piping and equipment arrangements based on existing conditions.\nCoordinate across a variety of design disciplines, including mechanical, electrical, and structural.\nOccasional travel to provide support at job sites.\nExpected annual salary of $55,000 - $65,000.\n Why You Want To Work Here\nCoffman Engineers is a company that truly focuses on its employees.
