Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled TPF Developer with strong experience in the Travel and Airline Industry to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate should possess deep expertise in IBM Transaction Processing Facility (TPF), TPFDF, TPFC, airline reservation systems, transaction processing applications, and mission-critical travel platforms.

In addition to core TPF expertise, the candidate should be capable of leveraging AI-assisted development tools, Generative AI technologies, and intelligent automation solutions to improve productivity, code quality, troubleshooting efficiency, and system reliability.

This role involves developing, enhancing, and supporting high-volume transaction processing applications that power global airline and travel operations.

Key Responsibilities

TPF Application Development

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain TPF applications supporting airline and travel business operations.
• Develop high-performance transaction processing programs using:

• Support critical systems related to:

  • Ticketing

Travel Domain Solution Delivery

• Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Architects to deliver travel industry solutions.
• Analyze airline reservation and transaction workflows.
• Understand and support integrations with:
  • Sabre
  • Airline Reservation Systems
  • Inventory Management Systems
  • Passenger Service Systems (PSS)
  • Distribution Platforms
• Participate in application modernization initiatives involving legacy TPF systems.

Application Support & Troubleshooting

• Perform production support activities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex TPF production issues.
• Conduct root cause analysis for performance and availability incidents.
• Analyze dumps, traces, logs, and transaction failures.
• Ensure optimal application performance and reliability.

Software Engineering Best Practices
