If you are a curious, pragmatic, and energizing leader who thrives on building both great software and great teams, we would like to hear from you.\nResponsibilities:\nServe as the direct line manager for a chapter of Data Engineering Specialists, fostering their professional growth and expertise through continuous coaching, mentorship, and on-the-job development.\nDefine the critical data engineering skills needed for the future-particularly around emerging AI technologies-and proactively build the chapter’s capabilities to meet evolving domain demands. \nLead your chapter in designing, building, and maintaining robust, scalable, and reliable data pipelines and infrastructure while establishing best practices across coding standards, CI/CD, testing, and infrastructure management.\nPropose and implement architectural solutions and strategies in collaboration with the Data Architecture team to improve data quality, reliability, and accessibility.\nChampion a collaborative and positive chapter environment, facilitating knowledge sharing and a culture of continuous learning and operational excellence.\nCollaborate with Data Scientists, Analysts, and business partners to understand their data needs and provide the necessary engineering solutions.\nConduct regular performance check-ins and annual performance reviews, focusing on growth and constructive feedback.\nAssess chapter member capabilities to inform workforce planning, recruitment, and talent development strategies.\nServe as an active, hands-on member of an agile squad (approx. 30% of your time), contributing directly to the squad's goals and deliverables.\nSupport the practical implementation of Data Governance, security, and privacy policies. Provide feedback on the same to improve the practice.\nQualifications & skills:\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline required.\n7+ years of experience in a data engineering or software engineering role with a data focus.\n3+ years of proven experience in a leadership, mentorship, or coaching role.
