This role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining building systems, equipment, and appliances, as well as addressing any maintenance concerns promptly and efficiently. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and dedicated to delivering exceptional service.\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES\nPerform routine building maintenance as directed, completing tasks such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting, floor care, pressure washing, basic plumbing, and appliance repairs.\nEnsure that all repairs and service orders are completed promptly, following operating and safety standards.\nMaintain scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on equipment.\nRepair vacated rooms promptly and prepare for a new resident's move-in.\nEnsure that the walls, floor coverings, doors, and woodwork in the community's common areas are well-maintained.\nMonitor and manage maintenance supplies and equipment inventory.\nMaintain accurate records of maintenance work performed, including service logs, equipment maintenance, and inventory tracking.\nMaintain positive communication with the local fire marshal, building inspector, state elevator inspector, and any other jurisdictions governing the community. \nWork within the legal scope of local and state codes.\nRequirements\nCANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS\nEducation and certificates:\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent.\nProfessional maintenance-related certifications are a plus, but not required.\nExperience, Competencies, and Skills:\nAt least two (2) years of prior maintenance or handyman experience in a senior living, multi-apartment, or hotel setting is required.\nA well-rounded general maintenance skillset, including experience with HVAC, drywall repair and texturing, carpentry, minor electrical, plumbing, basic repairs, painting, floor care, and landscaping.\nAbility to work independently and handle multiple tasks efficiently, with good time management and organizational skills.\nFriendly and professional demeanor with a customer service mindset.\nComfortable working with cleaning chemicals, tools, and machinery.\nSalary
