You will be a part of cross-functional teams that include data engineers, solution architects, and project managers. Together, your focus will be on configuring, deploying, and operationalising digital solutions in sectors such as Oil & Gas, Power & Utilities, and Manufacturing. \nAdditionally, you will engage with clients to understand their desired outcomes, lead discovery workshops, and provide insights on potential strategies and obstacles. The data science team is a part of the MENA delivery team in our global delivery organisation. We are a good mix of project managers, data scientists, data engineers and solution architects with domain expertise from oil and gas, power & utilities and manufacturing. \nWe are responsible for delivering successful projects that are flexible and scalable and foster adoption of our product. In sum, we derive valuable insights from previously hidden data, enabling workers and leaders to transform how heavy asset industries operate to become more efficient and sustainable. \nThe Impactyou bring to Cognite\nA typical day as a Cogniter will contain the following tasks & responsibilities:\nDevelop and deploy scalable solutions for customer use cases from Oil and Gas, Manufacturing and Power & Utilities industries using Cognite’s core capabilities\nParticipate in and contribute to intensive use case generation workshops with subject matter experts to understand the problem and how it maps to the data\nPerform data cleansing, exploratory data analysis and data modelling.\nImplement physical models / machine learning models in Python and deploy to our model hosting environment\nWork on an agentic AI solution to solve customers' use cases.\nUtilize and contribute to solution templates and best practices within the Data Science team\nCollaborate with data engineers, project managers and solution architects on project deliveries to enable our customers to achieve the full potential of our industrial dataops platform\nSupport customers and partners in conducting data science tasks with Cognite products\nWe believe most of these should match your experience\n\nBachelor of Technology/Engineering or Master of Science in a quantitative field or mechanical, computer science, electrical or similar.\n6- 10 years of work experience as a data scientist (preferably within related industry) or data scientist with domain expertise in Oil and Gas or Maintenance\nProficient experience with Python and SQL.
