The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Ab Initio technologies, data architecture, metadata management, and cloud-based data platforms while providing technical leadership across complex transformation initiatives within Healthcare, Insurance, Banking, or Financial Services domains.\nIn this role, you will\nLead the architecture, design, and implementation of large-scale data warehouse and data integration solutions using Ab Initio.\nDesign and develop high-performance ETL/ELT frameworks, reusable components, and metadata-driven solutions.\nProvide technical leadership and guidance to development teams throughout the project lifecycle.\nDevelop and maintain data governance, data lineage, metadata management, and data quality solutions using Ab Initio Metadata Hub and DQE.\nPartner with business and technology stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.\nArchitect and implement enterprise data quality frameworks, business glossaries, and lineage solutions.\nDesign and optimize batch and real-time data processing pipelines.\nSupport cloud migration strategies, including modernization of on-premise ETL platforms to AWS-based environments.\nLead architecture reviews, technical assessments, and proof-of-concept initiatives.\nDrive best practices for performance tuning, code reviews, CI/CD implementation, and operational excellence.\nDevelop and maintain RESTful and SOAP service integrations supporting enterprise data services.\nCollaborate with governance and compliance teams to support regulatory initiatives involving data lineage, data quality, and metadata management.\nMentor engineers and provide technical oversight across multiple projects and programs.\nWe strive to provide flexibility wherever possible. Rest assured; we will always be clear about role expectations.\nWhat you need to have to be considered\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.\n15+ years of experience in data warehousing, data integration, and enterprise data architecture.\nAdvanced expertise with Ab Initio including:GDE\nEME\nConduct>It\nQuery>It\nExpress>It\nMetadata Hub\nDQE/DQA\nContinuous Flows\n\nStrong experience designing and implementing enterprise data warehouse solutions.\nExperience building metadata-driven and reusable ETL frameworks using PDL metaprogramming and parameter sets.\nStrong knowledge of data governance, metadata management, data lineage, and data quality implementations.\nHands-on experience with AWS cloud services and cloud migration initiatives.\nStrong SQL development, query optimization, and performance tuning experience.\nExperience working with Oracle, Teradata, Snowflake, or similar enterprise databases.\nExperience implementing CI/CD practices using tools such as GitHub and Jenkins.\nExperience leading technical teams and providing architecture guidance.\nStrong understanding of SDLC methodologies including Agile and Waterfall.\nExcellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.\nThese will help you stand out\nExperience within Healthcare, Insurance, PBM, Banking, Investment Banking, or Financial Services industries.\nExperience with data governance platforms such as Alation.\nKnowledge of Databricks, Snowflake, Hadoop, HDFS, Hive, and Big Data technologies.\nExperience supporting regulatory and compliance initiatives including BCBS239, GDPR, and risk management programs.\nFamiliarity with FHIR, HL7, or healthcare data modernization initiatives.\nExperience designing cloud-native data integration solutions and microservices-based architectures.\nExperience with Python, PySpark, data automation, and modern data engineering practices.\nPrior consulting experience supporting large enterprise clients.\nExperience creating enterprise data quality scorecards, metrics, and executive reporting solutions.\nSalary and Other Compensation:\nApplications will be accepted until October 29, 26, 2026.\nThe annual salary for this position is between $88,000 - $135,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.\nThis position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.\nBenefits: Cognizant offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements:\n· Medical/Dental/Vision/Life Insurance\n· Paid holidays plus Paid Time Off\n· 401(k) plan and contributions\n· Long-term/Short-term Disability\n· Paid Parental Leave\n· Employee Stock Purchase Plan\nDisclaimer: The salary, other compensation, and benefits information is accurate as of the date of this posting.
