Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 4 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Charlotte, North Carolina. Rest assured; we will always be clear about role expectations.\nWhat you need to have to be considered\n15+ years of overall technology experience, with strong hands-on expertise in software engineering, solution architecture, and cloud-native application development.\nProven experience designing and building production-grade Generative AI solutions, including solutions using leading LLMs such as GPT, Claude, Gemini, or Llama.\nStrong experience with Agentic AI, agent orchestration frameworks, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), vector databases, prompt engineering, and context engineering.\nHands-on experience architecting and developing cloud-based AI solutions, including AWS Bedrock and modern cloud-native architecture patterns.\nStrong software engineering expertise with demonstrated experience applying AI-assisted development and CI/CD practices to enterprise software delivery.\nThese will help you stand out\nHands-on experience using GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or similar AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering productivity.\nExperience developing reusable GenAI accelerators, frameworks, utilities, or developer tooling for enterprise environments.\nExperience evaluating and selecting appropriate LLMs, agent frameworks, and AI architecture patterns based on enterprise use cases.\nExperience integrating Generative AI capabilities into existing enterprise platforms, applications, and engineering workflows.\nExperience contributing to or leading AI-first transformation initiatives across complex enterprise technology environments.\nApplications will be accepted till October 29th, 2026.\nSalary and Other Compensation:\nThe annual salary for this position is between $100,000 to $155,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.\nThis position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.\nBenefits: Cognizant offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements:\n· Medical/Dental/Vision/Life Insurance\n· Paid holidays plus Paid Time Off\n· 401(k) plan and contributions\n· Long-term/Short-term Disability\n· Paid Parental Leave\n· Employee Stock Purchase Plan\nDisclaimer: The salary, other compensation, and benefits information is accurate as of the date of this posting.
