Rest assured; we will always be clear about role expectations.\nWhat you need to have to be considered\nStrong hands-on Python development experience with demonstrated success delivering production-quality code.\nProven data engineering experience building, deploying, and supporting scalable data pipelines and processing solutions.\nHands-on expertise with AWS services and cloud-native data engineering architectures.\nExperience working with one or more of the following technologies: AWS Glue, AWS DMS, Apache Kafka, Apache Airflow, or Snowflake.\nExperience using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Kiro, or similar technologies to accelerate software engineering while maintaining engineering rigor.\nAbility to convert business requirements into technical specifications, solution designs, and acceptance criteria.\nExperience reviewing, testing, debugging, and optimizing AI-generated code before production deployment.\nHands-on experience developing AWS Lambda functions using Python and integrating them with AWS services.\nThese will help you stand out\nExperience with Kiro, including specification-driven development approaches.\nPractical experience using Claude Code for software engineering or data engineering initiatives.\nKnowledge of Model Context Protocol (MCP) and MCP-based integrations.\nExperience implementing automated testing frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and code-quality controls.\nAWS certifications such as AWS Certified Data Engineer, AWS Certified Developer, or AWS Certified Solutions Architect.\nWorking knowledge of TypeScript.\nUnderstanding of agentic AI engineering concepts, including agents, tools, memory, workflow orchestration, and human-in-the-loop patterns.\nPreferred differentiators\nCandidates will stand out if they have experience with:\nAgent development frameworks such as Strands Agents SDK or similar agentic AI platforms.\nDesigning and implementing MCP servers, tools, and integrations.\nCreating reusable engineering standards, development patterns, specifications, and governance practices for AI-assisted development.\nBuilding agentic workflows and orchestration solutions that interact with AWS services, enterprise systems, APIs, and data platforms.\nApplying AI-assisted engineering throughout the software development lifecycle, from requirements definition and code generation to testing, deployment, and operational support.\nWe're excited to meet people who share our mission and can make an impact in a variety of ways.
