We partner with leading enterprises across SaaS, fintech, payments, and high-tech industries to accelerate business transformation through cloud, data, and AI.\nRole Overview\nCognizant is seeking a Principal Enterprise Architect - AI & GenAI Platforms to serve as the senior AI architecture authority across a portfolio of strategic Platforms & Services and Hi-Tech clients.\nThis role will define enterprise AI strategy, architect scalable GenAI and Agentic AI solutions, establish governance standards, and drive the adoption of cloud-native AI platforms that deliver measurable business value. The ideal candidate combines deep enterprise architecture expertise, hands-on AI experience, and strong executive stakeholder management skills.\nKey Responsibilities\nDefine enterprise AI architecture strategy, roadmaps, standards, and governance frameworks.\nArchitect scalable GenAI, Agentic AI, ML, and cloud-native solutions across complex enterprise environments.\nDesign AI platforms utilizing LLMs, RAG, vector databases, APIs, and modern cloud services.\nBuild rapid proofs of concept and prototypes to accelerate innovation and validate business use cases.\nEstablish Responsible AI practices, model governance standards, and production readiness criteria.\nDrive cloud-native architecture adoption across AWS, Azure, and GCP environments.\nIntegrate AI solutions with enterprise platforms including Salesforce, ServiceNow, ERP, finance, and payments systems.\nServe as a trusted advisor to client executives, business stakeholders, and delivery leadership.\nSupport pre-sales, solutioning, architecture reviews, and strategic client workshops.\nMentor architects and engineering teams while promoting reusable AI patterns and accelerators.\nRequired Qualifications\n15+ years of experience in Enterprise Architecture, Solution Architecture, or Technology Consulting.\nProven experience delivering enterprise-scale AI, cloud, and digital transformation programs.\nExpertise in Generative AI, Agentic AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), RAG, and AI Governance.\nStrong experience with AWS, Azure, and/or GCP cloud platforms.\nExperience designing microservices, APIs, Kubernetes, Docker, and event-driven architectures.\nStrong executive communication, consulting, and client engagement experience.\nDemonstrated success leading AI initiatives from strategy through production deployment.\nDomain expertise in one or more of the following:SaaS Platforms\nFinTech & Payments\nEnterprise Software\nFinancial Operations\nHigh-Tech / Semiconductor\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nTOGAF Certification.\nAWS, Azure, or GCP Architecture Certifications.\nExperience with LangChain, LlamaIndex, MLflow, Vector Databases, PyTorch, or TensorFlow.\nExperience with large-scale distributed systems, data platforms, and real-time decisioning architectures.\nSalary and Other Compensation:\nApplicants will be accepted till 11/07/2026\nCognizant will only consider applicants for this position who are legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.\n*Please note, this role is not able to offer visa transfer or sponsorship now or in the future*\nThe annual salary for this position will be in the range of $140,000 - $160,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.\nThis position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.\nBenefits: Cognizant offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements:\nMedical/Dental/Vision/Life Insurance\nPaid holidays plus Paid Time Off\n401(k) plan and contributions\nLong-term/Short-term Disability\nPaid Parental Leave\nEmployee Stock Purchase Plan\nDisclaimer: The salary, other compensation, and benefits information is accurate as of the date of this posting.
