You will be a valued member of the Quality Engineering team supporting a leading banking client and will work collaboratively with developers, business stakeholders, product teams, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality technology solutions.\nIn this role, you will:\nDesign, develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Java and Selenium WebDriver.\nPerform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing to ensure application quality and stability.\nConduct API testing to validate application functionality and system integrations.\nDevelop and maintain reusable automation frameworks and testing assets.\nAnalyze test results, identify defects, and work closely with development teams on resolution.\nParticipate in requirements reviews and provide quality-focused feedback during the development lifecycle.\nCollaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and technology teams to ensure testing coverage aligns with business requirements.\nContribute to continuous improvement initiatives, automation best practices, and quality engineering standards.\nSupport release validation activities and production readiness testing.\nWork Model\nAt Cognizant, we strive to provide flexibility wherever possible and support a healthy work-life balance through our various wellbeing programs. Rest assured, we will always be clear about role expectations.\nWork Authorization\nPlease note that this position is not eligible for visa transfer or sponsorship now or at any time in the future.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.\n8+ years of experience in software testing and quality assurance.\nStrong hands-on experience with Java and Selenium WebDriver.\nExperience with both manual and automated testing methodologies.\nStrong experience in API testing using industry-standard tools.\nExperience creating and executing test plans, test cases, test scripts, and defect reports.\nStrong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience in the Banking and Financial Services domain.\nExposure to AWS Cloud technologies.\nExperience with AI-enabled testing tools, automation accelerators, or AI Proof of Concepts (POCs).\nExperience building or enhancing automation frameworks.\nFamiliarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and DevOps practices.\nKnowledge of CI/CD tools and automated testing pipelines.\nSalary and Other Compensation\nApplications will be accepted until November 22, 2026\nThe annual salary for this position is between $53,477 - $92,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.\nThis position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.\nWhy Cognizant?\nWe're excited to meet people who share our mission and can make an impact in a variety of ways.
