Serving as a key technical consultant (technical lead) and strategic liaison, the Tools Technical Lead oversees the transition of tools to production while shaping the development roadmap for operational workflows.\nRole & Responsibilities\nLead analysis and resolution of tools and/or software problems: Spearhead the diagnosis and resolution of highly complex, cross-functional problems discovered in tools/products.\nBe the main technical expert: Advise Geo teams, managers and the client, removing technical hurdles and solving major user problems.\nWork with engineering teams: Help define how to report and track bugs, ensuring critical issues are fixed quickly and communicated clearly to leadership.\nManage tool updates: Plan and coordinate when new tools and updates are released, while checking for potential risks.\nLead testing: Create and manage testing plans for new features and fixes to make sure they are ready for global use.\nWrite code: Regularly write high-quality code for tools and set standards for how others should code.\nBuild new tools: Design and launch new tools and dashboards that help teams work more efficiently.\nImplement AI solutions: Strategically deploy and integrate AI-based solutions to enhance existing tools and drive new operational efficiencies.\nSolve global tech issues: Provide technical solutions for complex software problems on Linux and Windows systems.\nManage advanced support: Create and run the process for handling technical bugs and performance issues, making sure to find and fix the root causes.\nManage Enterprise.\nExperience / Skills\n7-8 years’ experience in a similar domain, specifically working with large-scale geographic data products and serving as a technical leader.\nUnderstanding prompt engineering, Cloud/CLI, proven record of implementing AI solutions.\nWorking knowledge of modern AI capabilities (e.g., LLM APIs, retrieval-augmented generation) to identify automation opportunities and evaluate product feature feasibility.\nExperience in implementing FME based solutions.\nExperience in managing ESRI Enterprise.\nAdvanced GIS experience, including spatial analysis and data pipeline integration (ArcGIS Desktop/Server preferred).\nIntermediate to Advanced proficiency in Python\nIntermediate to Advanced proficiency in Sql\nJavaScript and/or other relevant front-end/tooling languages is required\nAt least a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.\nExceptional technological savviness and a proven ability to master and integrate new complex technologies rapidly.\nSuperior interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders up to the executive level.\nProven ability to thrive in a rapidly-changing, ambiguous, and high-pressure environment, providing expert guidance and technical leadership to peers during production challenges, transitions, and tool deployments.\nExpert-level, structured problem-solving skills, capable of tackling ill-defined technical challenges, paired with meticulous attention to detail in technical design and execution.\nDemonstrated ability to drive initiatives independently (self-starter), serving as a proactive technical leader who mentors others and champions a culture of continuous learning and creative, scalable problem solving.\nExperience with technical platforms such as Github and machine learning platforms like Vertex
