This role requires a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience and will contribute directly to the design, development, and delivery of industrial electronic hardware products.\nKey Skills & Technical Requirements\nExperience with safetycritical design practices; experience developing designs for safetycritical devices operating in harsh environments.\nExcellent knowledge in designing mixed embedded systems (analog and digital) with different sensing designs using voltage, current, pressure, etc.\nExperience in developing boardlevel product requirements.\nSound knowledge of FPGAs, microprocessors, architectural circuit design, and different microcontroller circuit designs.\nExperience in analog design opamps, signal conditioning, ADC, DAC, and filter designs.\nExcellent knowledge of power supply designs.\nExcellent knowledge of signal integrity analysis.\nSound digital design skills with knowledge of communication protocols UART, RS422, RS485, I2C, SPI, CAN, USB, Ethernet TCP/IP.\nPreferred knowledge of circuit simulators and analysis tools SPICE, PSPICE, and HSPICE.\nExposure to interfaces such as PCIe / DDRx / LPDDRx / NAND / NOR is desirable.\nGood understanding of product development stages, manufacturing, EMI/EMC, environmental and safety testing, and certifications.\nExperience developing verification test cases, procedures, and test scripts.\nFamiliar with the latest hardware testing equipment, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.\nSkills in schematic capture using Altium; familiar with board layout, SI/PI boardlevel interface analysis and simulation.\nKnowledge of MTBF, DFMEA, derating analysis, and worstcase analysis.\nStrong debugging skills and rootcause analysis.\nRoles & Responsibilities\nHandson involvement across architecture, schematics, layout reviews, vendor interaction, and cross functional team interaction, including with firmware, mechanical, and bringup testing.\nEvaluate and define requirements in cooperation with internal and external stakeholders.\nSupport the complete life cycle of hardware product development.\nLead technical reviews of schematics, PCBs, and BOMs to support the development process and ensure technical integrity of hardware deliverables.\nParticipate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve overall product quality.\nTroubleshoot and resolve hardware related issues during development and testing phases.\nMaintain accurate documentation of all hardware designs and modifications.\nAdhere to project timelines and deliver highquality designs within set deadlines.\nComply with all internal and external regulations and standards related to hardware design and development.\nParticipate in regular team meetings and brainstorming sessions to contribute ideas and solutions for improved hardware designs.\nAbout Cognizant’s IoT Practice:\nIntelligent, IoT-enabled products will soon result in the proliferation of data and disrupt virtually all industries.
