The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in automation frameworks, API and data validation, and AI-assisted automation. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks and ensuring the quality and reliability of applications across UI and API layers.\nIn this role, you will\nDesign, build, and maintain scalable end-to-end test automation frameworks using Playwright.\nDevelop robust UI and API test suites to validate complex web applications, microservices, and backend integrations.\nDevelop and maintain API testing strategies, validating integrations, functionality, security, and data accuracy.\nAnalyze test results, identify defects, and work closely with developers to resolve issues.\nIdentify opportunities to improve test coverage, automation efficiency, and overall QA processes.\nTroubleshoot automation failures and provide detailed test execution reports.\nDefine, monitor, and report on key quality metrics, identifying opportunities for process improvement and risk reduction.\nWork model\nWe strive to provide flexibility wherever possible. Rest assured; we will always be clear about role expectations.\nWhat you need to have to be considered\n6+ years of experience in QA Automation and Software Testing, with strong hands-on expertise in Playwright using TypeScript.\nMust have 3+ years in building hybrid or custom automation frameworks using Playwright (alongside proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or Java).\nMust have experience working in agile teams using BDD, Cucumber, Github action and Jenkins.\nProven experience developing and maintaining automated testing frameworks and test suites.\nStrong practical experience validating REST APIs, microservices, and handling payloads/JSON schemas.\nExperience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and software delivery processes\nMust have experience working in agile teams using BDD, Cucumber, Github action and Jenkins.\nThese will help you stand out\nInsurance domain experience is added advantage.\nShould work and support on-shore offshore model.\nWe're excited to meet people who share our mission and can make an impact in a variety of ways. The base salary for this position ranges between CAD 65,000 - 90,000 per year. Where the successful candidate may fall within the range depends on relevant education, work and/or management experience and other business-related and job-necessary qualifications.
