We focus on understanding client needs and delivering customized solutions to drive business success.\nIn this role, you will:\nDatabase Administration & Operations\nAdminister and maintain PostgreSQL databases across Production, UAT, and Development environments.\nEnsure database availability, reliability, and operational stability.\nPerform database provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management.\nManage database startup, shutdown, connectivity, and service health validation.\nMonitor database growth, storage utilization, and capacity planning.\n2. Backup, Recovery & Disaster Recovery\n Design, implement, and test backup and recovery strategies.\nPerform logical and physical backups using PostgreSQL utilities.\nConduct restore validations and recovery drills.\nDefine and maintain RPO/RTO objectives.\nEnsure disaster recovery readiness and periodic DR testing.\n3. High Availability & Replication\nDesign and support PostgreSQL HA architectures.\nConfigure and maintain streaming replication and logical replication.\nMonitor replication health and replication lag.\nPlan and execute failover and switchover activities.\nSupport enterprise-grade HA/DR solutions.\n4. Performance Tuning & Optimization\n Analyze and resolve database performance bottlenecks.\nTune PostgreSQL parameters, memory, I/O, and autovacuum settings.\nReview and optimize SQL execution plans.\nDesign indexes, partitioning strategies, and query optimization solutions.\nMonitor lock contention, blocking sessions, and database wait events.\n5. Security & Compliance\n Implement database security standards and best practices.\nManage users, roles, privileges, and access controls.\nEnforce least-privilege principles.\nSupport audits, compliance requirements, and security reviews.\n6. Incident, Problem & Change Management\n Resolve critical incidents within SLA commitments.\nPerform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and drive preventive actions.\nSupport change, release, and deployment activities.\nCoordinate recovery activities during major incidents.\n7. Automation & Monitoring\nDevelop automation scripts using Bash, Python, Shell, or PostgreSQL utilities.\nAutomate health checks, maintenance tasks, and reporting.\nImplement proactive monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions.\nMonitor backups, jobs, replication, and database health.\n8. Documentation & Knowledge Management\nCreate and maintain SOPs, runbooks, architecture documents, and recovery procedures.\nMaintain operational documentation and troubleshooting guides.\nProduce health reports, audit evidence, and management updates.\nWhat you’ll need to succeed:\nPossess extensive hands on experience working with PostgreSQL including design tuning partitioning and management of large datasets in complex enterprise environments\nApply strong knowledge of data warehousing dimensional modeling and relational design principles to construct efficient and maintainable schemas suited for high volume analytics\nDemonstrate practical exposure to utilities or energy domain data such as metering asset management and usage analytics enabling better alignment between data solutions and industry needs\nBring solid proficiency in data integration tools scripting or procedural languages that work effectively with PostgreSQL ecosystems to orchestrate reliable data movement and transformation\nExhibit familiarity with hybrid work practices and collaborative tools which support effective communication and coordination across onsite and remote teams during standard day shifts\nShow understanding of data governance security and compliance requirements including concepts such as role based access retention and quality controls to ensure trustworthy data operations\nDisplay experience in performance monitoring and capacity planning for database platforms enabling proactive tuning and stable operation under growing data and workload demands within the organization\nSupport cloud migration and hybrid database deployments and lead complex troubleshooting and performance investigations.\nApplications will be accepted until Oct 26th 2026.
