This client-facing role will serve as the primary onsite representative for Pharmacovigilance operations, ensuring seamless service delivery, stakeholder management, and operational excellence across the PV engagement.\nThe successful candidate will act as the bridge between the client and Cognizant delivery teams, driving project execution, issue resolution, process optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring compliance with regulatory and quality standards.\nKey Responsibilities\nClient & Stakeholder Management\nServe as the primary point of contact for all Pharmacovigilance operational matters.\nBuild and maintain strong relationships with client stakeholders.\nFacilitate effective communication between the client and offshore/onshore delivery teams.\nProvide regular project updates, performance reports, and risk assessments to stakeholders.\nManage client expectations and ensure timely resolution of requests and concerns.\nProject & Service Delivery Management\nOversee day-to-day Pharmacovigilance operations and service delivery.\nEnsure all deliverables are completed within agreed timelines and quality standards.\nMonitor project performance through KPIs, metrics, and governance frameworks.\nIdentify operational risks, issues, and bottlenecks, and implement mitigation plans.\nAct as the first escalation point for service delivery and operational concerns.\nPharmacovigilance Oversight\nProvide operational leadership across Pharmacovigilance activities including:ICSR case processing\nQuality Control and Quality Review\nLiterature surveillance support\nAggregate reporting support\nMetrics and compliance reporting\n\nEnsure adherence to client procedures, regulatory requirements, and global PV standards.\nSupport audits, inspections, and quality initiatives as required.\nTeam Leadership\nProvide guidance, mentoring, and operational support to Pharmacovigilance team members.\nDrive collaboration across global delivery teams.\nMonitor workload distribution and resource utilization.\nSupport performance management and capability development initiatives.\nContinuous Improvement\nIdentify opportunities to improve processes, quality, productivity, and compliance.\nLead process improvement projects and best-practice sharing initiatives.\nSupport automation and innovation efforts within Pharmacovigilance operations.\nRequired Qualifications\nEducation\nBachelor's degree or higher in:Pharmacy\nMedicine\nNursing\nLife Sciences\nBiomedical Sciences\nRelated Healthcare Discipline\n\nExperience\nMinimum 5 years of experience in Pharmacovigilance, Drug Safety, Clinical Research, or related pharmaceutical operations.\nMinimum 3 years of Project Management experience in a pharmaceutical, CRO, or life sciences environment.\nMinimum 2 years of people leadership or team management experience.\nStrong understanding of end-to-end Pharmacovigilance processes and regulatory requirements.\nExperience managing client-facing projects and stakeholders.\nTechnical & Functional Skills\nStrong knowledge of:ICSR Management\nQuality Control / Quality Review\nDrug Safety Operations\nPharmacovigilance Metrics & Reporting\nRisk and Issue Management\n\nAbility to manage large volumes of operational data and performance metrics.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.\nLanguage Requirements\nJapanese\nNative Japanese speaker or JLPT N1 equivalent.\nEnglish\nBusiness-level communication skills (spoken and written).\nAbility to lead meetings and communicate with global stakeholders.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience working in a global outsourcing or managed services environment.\nExperience supporting multinational
