This role will focus on CI/CD automation, Copado administration, deployment quality, release governance, and environment management across multiple Salesforce environments.\nThe ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on experience with Salesforce DevOps, Copado, Git/source control, CI/CD pipelines, and release management, with the ability to collaborate effectively across development, QA, architecture, operations, and business teams to deliver reliable and efficient production releases.\nWork model\nWe believe hybrid work is the way forward as we strive to provide flexibility wherever possible. Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 3 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Plano, TX. Regardless of your working arrangement, we are here to support a healthy work-life balance though our various wellbeing programs.\nKey Responsibilities\nManage end-to-end Salesforce releases and deployments across Development, QA, UAT, and Production environments.\nBuild, maintain, and enhance CI/CD pipelines using Copado, Git/source control, and Salesforce DevOps tools.\nAdminister Copado pipelines, including branching strategies, user stories, promotions, validations, and metadata deployments.\nAutomate build, testing, deployment, release validation, and quality-gate processes to improve efficiency and reduce deployment risk.\nPerform release readiness assessments, dependency analysis, deployment validation, rollback planning, and post-production verification.\nManage source control processes, branching, merge conflicts, metadata alignment, and environment synchronization.\nTroubleshoot deployment failures, conduct root-cause analysis (RCA), and implement preventive measures to improve release stability.\nSupport release and change management, including release calendars, documentation, audit trails, and compliance requirements.\nDevelop and maintain dashboards and metrics to track release quality, deployment efficiency, DevOps maturity, and process compliance.\nPartner with Salesforce Architects, Developers, QA, Operations, and business stakeholders to establish DevOps best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.\nRequired Qualifications\nStrong hands-on experience with Salesforce DevOps and release management.\nHands-on experience administering and managing Copado for Salesforce deployments.\nStrong understanding of CI/CD concepts, pipelines, and deployment automation.\nExperience with Git and source-control practices, including branching, merging, and conflict resolution.\nExperience managing deployments across Salesforce sandboxes and Production environments.\nKnowledge of Salesforce metadata, environment synchronization, validation, and deployment dependencies.\nExperience with release readiness, rollback planning, deployment troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.\nFamiliarity with Agile methodologies and Jira or similar work-management tools.\nExperience with scripting and automation to improve DevOps and deployment processes.\nStrong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work across technical and business teams.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience supporting large-scale, enterprise Salesforce implementations.\nPrevious experience within banking, financial services, or other highly regulated environments.\nExposure to release governance, audit controls, and compliance requirements within complex Salesforce programs.\nSalesforce and/or Copado certifications are a plus.\nKey Skills\n· Salesforce DevOps\n· Copado\n· CI/CD\n· Git\n· Source Control\n· Release Management\n· Deployment Automation\n· Salesforce Sandboxes\n· Branching & Merge Strategy\n· Salesforce Metadata\n· Agile\n· Jira\n· Scripting & Automation\n· Release Governance\nSalary and Other Compensation:\nThe annual salary for this position is between $100,00- $150,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.\nThis position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.\nJob Summary\nArchitect role in a global organization responsible for designing resilient Salesforce solutions and Devops practices tailored for cards and payments operations.
